"Bottom line: this is a good hotel in a great location. Perfect distance between the train station and downtown. Easy 10-minute walk from station. Friendly staff. Building has interesting architecture and history. Breakfast was excellent. Very responsive to our questions via email. Room was spacious. "Pleasant staff, comfortable room, good temperature and quiet. I was surprised I couldn't leave my luggage prior to check-in as the luggage room was full, but this didn't cause me too much angst. Would recommend and stay again if in Alkmaar"

5 bedrooms, individually decorated, individually furnished, bed sheets

"It was a very tight place for two adults with luggage. The bedroom was a loft style and for two tall adults we had to crawl on hands and knees. Plus making the beds were a challenge due to constricted room above me. Certainly weather proof as there was a lot of strong winds and rain. Perfect position but next time I will make sure of cabin type "
