"Rooms: Rooms were clean. The bathroom vent needs attention though! it was not working while we were there, so there was no where for the moisture to escape. Staff: all staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast: it was good. Not sure you need the brown stuff? I felt like every morning, not many people were eating it. I feel like that time and money, could be spent on something else? Maybe a waffle maker? The fruit options you have is awesome, so pairing that with a fresh waffle would be fantastic. get rid of the brown stuff that is to the right of the pancakes. Outdoors - we loved the area in general - it was clean and there was plenty of areas to sit outside. We loved the gas fire place that is under the canopy near the pool. Though the gas BBQ pits were in terrible condition. The burners were rusted out, so flames aren't manageable and the thermometers were broken too. Just get rid of them instead of letting them sit there. Pool: very small compared to other hotels so it was a little cramped when there are older folks that want to relax, then you have young kids that want to splash and play. "

"Pleasantly surprised that a full cook-to-order breakfast was included in the cost of the room. (Was not mentioned on the website that I found). Walkability to downtown was a huge plus! Enjoyed our stay!"

"The home and room were nice and clean, but the cycling on and off of the AC and the street traffic from being on the front of the house didn't allow for much sleep. While we realize the house is old, the water lines need updating so pressure is sustained - if another room was showering or flushing you all but lost water pressure. Do not recommend for people with cat allergies or aversions as cats are given free range of the outdoor area, porch and downstairs. Should we stay again we will request a room on the back side of the house and see if that's more suitable. Still, we give it four stars overall for the cleanliness and convenient location to main street activities."

"From the photos on Expedia we were excited for our stay at the Inn. Upon our arrival, there was no parking where we had been instructed to park and only street parking was available. Check in was fine. When we walked into our room we discovered it not to be as pictured on Expedia. It wasn’t even the same bed as pictured and we really should have questioned why the bathroom photo only showed the top of the shower door. The street noise coming into the room was very loud. I sat down on the bed to see if it was at least comfortable and it too creaked loud enough to wake the dead. For a light sleeper this was never going to work. I looked around the room, compared it to the picture on line and realized that we were fooled by a very enhanced photo. We knew we were not going to be comfortable enough to stay in this room, even if we did sleep a little there was no way I’d use the shower. We notified them we were leaving. They did offer us two other rooms that looked more like what we had seen on line. Still being upset by the deception we decided to move on. We did request a refund based on the deception even though their site says “no refund” we thought they might do the right thing knowing the room does not look like the photo they gave to Expedia but unfortunately they did not. I have no idea how they have achieved an “Excellent” rating. "

"Can’t even begin to say what a horrible experience this hotel was. Our room safety lock on door was broken - hallways were dimly lit, the staff was very unhelpful. When we tested the door lock they sent a janitor to “unlock” the door with a screwdriver. The pool was dirty, hot tub was not working, the ice machine looked like it had some sort of nasty leakage. The list goes on. We cancelled our reservation after being denied another room and left. They said Expedia would issue the refund. Expedia claimed the hotel was the only one who could approve the refund. The hotel lied and said there were “no issues” & that the booking was completed & successful. Outright lies. It took over 2 months to get a refund and we got it ONLY by filing a claim through our bank. Never, ever again with this hotel or chain! "
