Beach Resorts in Hispaniola

"Overall great property for a nice couple get away. At this time of year and midweek the resort was not very full so no issues getting chairs at beach, pool, or even meals. The staff went above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable. The was what would be expected I guess at an all inclusive, but the variety of options was pretty good. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. We stayed in a swim out room and honestly didn’t use that swim out pool very much. It was hot and we liked being closer to the beach and bars. But it was great to have the larger patio and even a quick jump in the pool. The seaweed was quite heav, but the staff was working hard at night and all day to remove it. The seaweed is just bad all over the Caribbean this time of year anywhere you go, but we didn’t mind it or it didn’t really ruin anything. "

"Definitely going back! We stayed at the Barcelo beach but went a few times over to the palace for the restaurants and entertainment. Very close to the airport, beach was fantastic, staff cleans the seaweed every night. "

"I went with my boyfriend gif our anniversary and loved it. We did the swim up room, which was nice but I regret not doing the Xhale vip option. We dined at the French restaurant abc had the steak…AMAZING! Overall I had a great time! "

"The staff absolutely pamper you and go out of the way to make you comfortable. The restaurants are top notch with Chez Isabelle at the top spot in my opinion. The nightly entertainment was fun and lively, daytime activities have options for everyone. I will definitely be visiting other Excellence resorts in the future. "
