Unique property!

The room was good. We had a bunkroom, with shared bathrooms, which were very clean. They had a big common kitchen, but we didn't use it.

We loved our stay. There’s a great atmosphere at Montacute, so definitely stay if you want somewhere relaxing and quiet, but pleasantly buzzy in the kitchen during the evenings, with great conversation. Rooms are lovely, great views from upstairs, super value. We loved it, would return if we were ever in Hobart again.

Lovely place to stay

Beautiful and clean hostel to stay at. Pretty close to a lot of nice restaurants and cafes, in a calm and beautiful neighborhood. I’ve stayed in many hostel es before and this is the best without a doubt. Would recommend and will be staying here again whenever I have the opportunity. Important to notice: this is not a party hostel and it is more of a relaxed environment.

Gorgeous heritage building with beautiful views in a great historic location. Walking distance to everything including lovely cafes and restaurants. Great queen room with access to bathrooms and an awesome kitchen with facilities. We’ll definitely stay again.

This is the ideal business in the ideal location for those of us who place greatest emphasis on a super friendly stay in a marvellous place. The bunkhouse is clean, secure and run by a friendly helpful crew who transmit a feeling of welcome to their home rather than just running a routine accommodation business. Within easy walking distance are superb dining choices, major shopping centres and entertainment precincts.
