I was scheduled to check in during Spring Break. On the day before my flight I was in the hospital for emergency surgery and stayed in the hospital 4 days. On the 2nd day the I called Expedia and the hotel directly to explain my circumstances. Both parties refused to even offer a credit for a future stay, let alone a refund. It was spring break, and going to be me and my two children traveling. I will never book a hotel again with such an uncaring chain.

Loved everything about the hotel. The location is prime. Staff were extremely friendly. They had upgrades availbale for a cost at check-in. Beautiful views from the balcony. An outdoor pool for the family to enjoy. The elevators come pretty quickly. Very safe for the customers, strangers cannot easily enter the upper floors. The room decorations are simple and elegant. The room gets made on time. You'll find the room clean every time you return back to your hotel after having breakfast or late lunch. We loved coming back to a clean room. The only thing we did not like at all was that the pillows and mattresses in the rooms werrw extremely uncomfortable. Considering that we booked at a Marriot chain hotel, we expected better. The entire stay at this hotel was great except it gave us pain in our necks. The mattress is extremely thin and the pillows are extremely flat. You guys need to up your game with the mattress and pillow situation. Its letting your customers down on multiple occassions.

There were many things to do at this property. It's a nice spot to be and one of the top hotel. Activities are great. Price is high and I did not like that I've ordered Ocean view room and it's has multi type of ocean views. It required extra fees for room upgrade. My first 2 nights my view was another building. Not transparent on my room order.

Great hotel if you get the right room. You have to be very specific with reservations, i had to do the upgrade twice in order to get the room I intended to get. The room we had was perfection - spacious, very quit at night, amazing view. But again, had to do 2 upgrades to get the right room.

Pretty busy area. Kind of noisy. A lot of homeless. Other than that great location. Close to the beach. A lot of good restaurants nearby. A lot of tours have pickup locations near the hotel.

Resort was cute and right across the street from the beach. Very convenient location tons of dining and shopping options. The only downside is the resort fees and security deposit was outrageous. They offer limited activities to justify the resort fee and we were only able to attend one of the activities during our week there. The conference room it was in was hot everyone was sweating and there wasn’t enough seating for everyone. Overall it was a great location and the room itself is nice but the resort fees and security deposit amount was too extreme.

This property was beautiful and the staff was amazing!! They offer free classes on certain days like lei making and ukulele which was so fun! The beach was right outside the hotel and there were plenty of shops within walking distance. Will definitely book again!!!

This is a large resort property consisting of two large towers with distinctively different common area styles. One tower is ocean front with the other having ocean views. I thought I selected the ocean front tower when booking but upon arrival I was being told I would have a partial ocean view therefore I paid for an upgrade at the property to ocean front and did not regret it. This upgrade pushed the overall room cost equal to costs at elevated properties that I did not consider when planning the vacation. I feel that my booking was for the ocean front tower but did not have away to provide proof so be sure document that prior to departure. For families, I cannot not think of a more perfect property. Walking distance to both the zoo and aquarium. The beach is across the street and the hotel provides chairs, towels, boogie boards and bicycles with the daily resort fee.The access to the beach which has umbrella and paddle/surfboard rentals is convenient. We did not travel as a family but I recognize the benefits. The only regret is the additional cost without earning Marriot points for the six nights.

There were only a couple of things I didn't like. 1. When we checked in there was no one at the counter for regular check in. So it took a little bit. 2. Every day I had a message for the free gift and to come down and talk to the guy to get it. I did it, did not like the up-sale and did not like that I continued to get a message every day. 3. Lady at the concierge was rude. She was on the phone every time I approached. Someone needs to let her know she can at least look up and acknowledge you with a smile, even when she is on the phone. Because we were not acknowledged after several minutes, we left. 4. Everyone else was nice. Our maid service was wonderful.

I really enjoyed everything about this hotel, the only thing I thought it was overpriced was the the valet parking or self parking it was almost the same in price. Be prepared to pay a lot for it

The woman at the “welcome desk” was very rude. I asked her the name of the street in front of the building and she told me I would have to ask my questions at the concierge. She was not helping anyone and there was not reason to be so rude with me. Very unhelpful for a hotel welcome desk employee. The checkin staff was very pleasant.

We really enjoyed our stay. We got the junior family suite, and it was great to have each pre-teen in their own bed and 2 bathrooms. A microwave and kettle would have been really nice, but otherwise the room suited us well. The hotel was lively, and we enjoyed the access to activities and beach equipment. Waikiki is so walkable, we didnt need a car. Really great visit.

I reserved this hotel and let them know it was our anniversary. This was the first place I’ve even been to that didn’t offer anything to make it special. Even worse, I asked if we could at least have an hour or two late check out since our flight was later in the day and was simply told no. This was not the busy season and they refused to work with me at all. I could hear a lot of noise through the walls in my hotel room, and woke up to people getting in at 2-4am almost every night. We could also hear the elevator going up and down all night. There was a huge 2inch gap under the door that caused light to beam in our room throughout the night. VERY average hotel and not accommodating in anyway. I will definitely be staying somewhere else next time I visit Hawaii.

Wonderful hotel!!! The only complaint I had was the roosters in the mornings starting at 3:00 am every morning up on the 12th floor! Also if u are visiting and planning on getting a rental car, make sure you purchase the rental insurance! While we used the valet parking our vehicle had been attempted to be broken into and damaged!! The hotel IS NOT RESPONSIBLE abs they will make you fully aware of it!!!
