Lobby had trash that was left, smell as soon as you walk in, staff at desk was in back for attest 10 minutes before he came to check us in, dirt in hallways, room dingy, smelly, and hotel needs renovations. Air was not working properly and another guest must have been up all night slamming door. If it was not for the fact that it was midnight when we stopped and I’m not familiar with Houston, I would have definitely left. This hotel was not represented well online at all

The room was so horrendous horrible. The bathroom door did not shut so we had to put the trash can to keep it shut. There were stains all over the bedsheets and couch. The main light in the restroom was burned out so we had to use the little light.

This was a great place to sleep on clean sheets, get a hot shower, and get out the door and on the way. The parking lot was well lit, and there was no bothersom foot traffic nearby. The room was quiet enough for a good night's sleep. I could tell that the owners are working to keep the place clean. The room we were in felt clean, and the sheets and towels were clean and in good shape. Some people will be bothered because it's a bit shabby around the edges. The electrical outlets on the bedside table were too loose to use for charging our phones, so we had to use the wall outlet. There was peeling veneer on the back of the bathroom door and the overflow drain cover in the bathtub/shower was missing.

The room felt neglected overall, especially the bathroom, the bathtub was chipped and missing a piece that stops it from draining so you could only take a shower. As far as taking a shower, the hot water only lasted 5 minutes at best. There was no hair dryer, even after multiply requests for one. Housekeeping never refilled the coffee packets in my room. When I went to the desk in the evening to get some for the morning, the lady looked in one drawer, handed me decaf, when I said I wanted regular, she looked in the same drawer and then said they didn’t have any. Most hotels at least have coffee available 24/7 in the lobby, they only had coffee made during breakfast times. While in the room, I could hear everything in the hallway and some of the other rooms. When my schedule changed and I had to cut my visit short, the property manager has been unreachable for Expedia to get me a partial refund. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

First room had “live” German roachs, the attendant was very nice and allowed us to switch rooms and encounter the same problem. He was very understanding and said he would approve the refund.
