Booked a room and prepaid through Expedia only to find the hotel charged me the full room rate on top on my credit card which they told me was for incidentals. Had to contact them to fix it or else they’d have let me double pay for this stay. Beware of fraudulent charges here.

I can honestly say this hotel is not worth the hype according to the pictures. My room was spacious, there was a couch but it did have stains. There were no robes, hand soap, or shower caps provided. I tried to order breakfast through there website which did not work .I called guest services and no one answered it went straight to voicemail. I eventually had to go all way downstairs to get breakfast. Housekeeping never came to clean my room or replace towels, which I feel I shouldn’t have to call especially if I didn’t have the DND sign on the door. When checking out I received a bill for $170 stating it was from the mini bar, mind you the mini bar fridge was completely empty. The excuse I received was that there might have been a malfunction with the system. Thankfully the front desk credited my account what was owed. Would I stay here again the answer would have to be a hard NO!

Terrible customer service outside of Steve at the front desk. He was great! Also, the rooms have no fridge or microwave . There were a lot of hidden fees that I wasn’t informed of, no parking available outside of valet which is stupid. For it to be an expensive hotel nothing was included in the packages not even breakfast. Couldn’t get food warmed up by front desk just a whole bunch of fuckery going on here. People with bad attitudes also

Early morning staff was less than engaging and helpful. The included breakfast was not worth it. Got a $35 credit for two people against a menu with avg breakfast entrees in the $20 range, so didn’t cover the full breakfast. On top of that, it was extremely slow. First people in the restaurant and in a hurry. Eggs and sausage took 30 minutes to prepare. Room was very nice although the foldable mirror wall to open up to the bathroom was odd.

The service and amenities of this hotel was great. The only issue i had at the stay was the charge of the late check out interpretation. I was told late check out was 2pm at the rate of $50. I was then charge $100 dollars and was told it was $50/hr after 12 pm which is orginal check out. Due to the misunderstanding, i was waived the 50 dollar fee. However if i never would have checked it would have gone unnoticed.

My boyfriend and I came to visit Houston for his birthday weekend and the hotel was beyond my expectations! Everything was perfect and definitely safe! After a certain time, the only way to get into the hotel was with the use of your room key & also you had to use your room key to use the elevators and I absolutely enjoyed it! I felt so safe being at the hotel!

Everything about this hotel was amazing. My stay was only for one night so I didn’t get a chance to take advantage of all the amenities offered. I did notice the hotel is very upscale and classy. Me and my partner were on a night out for our anniversary and we enjoyed the location, it felt safe, lots of dining options in the area. I will definitely consider the Laura hotel in the future

Stayed here for a long weekend to attend a convention. The hotel was within walking distance of the convention center and many restaurants, so that was a plus. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful during check in and the hotel itself was mostly clean and kept. I will mention that being downtown Houston though, there was hardly a quiet moment during Friday and Saturday night. We were on the 15th floor, corner room and between the sirens at various times, loud vehicles echoing off the tall buildings, and loud pedestrians talking and laughing, I was woken up several times. That’s not really the hotel’s fault, but it was very frustrating nonetheless. The restaurant food was pretty good, but the one drink I ordered was very weak and the valet parking seemed extremely expensive at $54 a night. Nothing was bad enough that I wouldn’t recommend a stay here, but I’m sure there are plenty comparable properties nearby.

Customer service was top notch! The bed was extremely comfortable and we all slept so good! The bathtub in our room was so relaxing and was a good way to end our busy day we had and waterfall shower the next morning was good way to start our day! We really enjoyed our stay.

The room was beautiful, loved the bathroom with the walk in shower and separate toilet area. The view was nice, the room was quiet, and the area was convenient to where we needed to be. On our last day checking out, the staff wasn’t helpful at all, she was more interested on what was on her phone than the customers in front of her (which was myself and my friend) but overall the stay was wonderful.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and it was perfect if you’re going to the House of Blues for a show. The dining there was very delicious and the reception staff was extremely sweet. I would definitely go back. Get the deluxe king room. The soaker tub is so worth it.
