They upgraded us from a petite room to a larger luxury room in the townhouse and we simply adored the spacious, cosy and well furnished room and toilet which also had a very big bath. The hotel was a comfortable 10 mins bus ride from all the main attractions in town and even had an excellent restaurant which is a must go to for a very fine Scottish meal. The staff are so very friendly and helpful and even made good chat!

We really loved our stay at The Rutland. We had a 2 bed-room apartment in the basement with kitchen facilities. The place was very spacious & clean. As the location is excellent, with many places to eat around it, we didn’t use the cooking facilities at all. The staff were also extremely helpful with our luggage - there are no lifts in the apartment so we had to lug everything down a flight of stairs but we had help from the staff who were all very strong ladies. I would definitely choose to...

Wonderful experience. While the facilities at the premises were minimal, the spacious room, friendly staff and within walking distance to restaurants, more than made up for it. We drove to Edinburgh, so car parking facility was extremely useful.
