Kay was lovely and accomodating as an host. Very quiet and peaceful. Great breakfast. Comfortable accomodation. A bit far out of town. Loved our stay. Should have stayed another day instead of spending another day in Edinburgh.
Our host Kay was wonderful. She made the best haggis I’ve had to date only to be topped by her amazing Pavlovas for dessert. Breakfast was also delicious. Wonderful, comfortable rooms with amazing baths in a quiet setting. Would definitely go back.

Warm Welcome
Wonderful welcome. Clean and comfortable bedrooms. Very accommodating to all your needs,
Wonderful haggis
Wow, a wonderful stay thanks to Kay, Leo, Mary & another lady I didn’t catch her name. It’s truly a home from home, fantastic breakfast, extremely comfortable Room 1, superior room worth the money, and such a quiet idyllic location, next to Tomatin distillery!!
This stay was a highlight during our trip. The room was great and we were very comfortable. The cooking and service was so authentically Scottish and we learned so much from both staff and other guests. We can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was.
We stayed for 3 nights. We highly recommend this place for multiple reasons, it is comfortable, clean and in a very convenient location, close to attractions in all directions.
But what makes a place truly great is the people running it and there is no better host than Kay. Good manager, great cook and above all a great person!!
Really lovely lodge to stay at. Everything was clean and the room was a very good size. Food was also great.
The owner (Kay) was a great host and made the stay easy and enjoyable.
Inconvenient location. We had a difficult time finding taxi who wanted to go to the area. Bathroom was cramped and super small. Bedroom was ok. Very difficult to get in touch with lodge staff. Almost no one was around. We only saw her once during check-in and she helped us with dinner. There was a heat wave during our stay and there was no fan or AC. We had to open windows and there were bugs and mosquitoes.

I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy your stay.
Yes it was very hot one day, UK had a red weather warning that day which is extremely unusual in Scotland hence buildings not having AC. We were very sad you couldn't have breakfast with us as you had to be away early for a tour. We hope you come back to stay with us and we can make your second stay a much more pleasant experience.
Many thanks for your review as we appreciate your feedback.
All the best.

Very quaint property a short drive from Inverness. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. The breakfast in the morning was beyond amazing, would come back again.
Glenan Lodge is set in an idyllic location with extensive woodland nearby and sheep field opposite. There are only 5 well appointed rooms so there's a cosy atmosphere. The owner and staff are most welcoming and they serve an excellent range of Scottish breakfasts.
Located in a wonderful and peaceful location. Plenty of nature to explore and relax. Hostess was very pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast options are great and very yummy! Will definitely be coming back in the future!
Lovely quiet location. Slight mix up with the booking on arrival but quickly rectified. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfask really nice. The bar although small offers a good selection of drinks. The available evening meal was a home cooked meal with limited selection but grealy appricated after a long 400 mile drive. Would certainly book here again.
Liked the fact they had a single room and they catered for dogs. The dining area was well set out and the staff were exceptionally pleasant. There was ample parking and a space that was long enough to take a car and a trailer.
Fantastuc place to stay when i did the NC500. The 2 lady hosts could not have been more helpful and friendly (and pretty). If around the area again will be staying here for sure
Kay, who was there to greet us when we arrived, couldn’t have been friendlier or more accommodating - our stay here was a perfect start to out highland trip. Highly recommended!
Ideal little hotel tucked away from any villages or main roads so its delightfully quiet.
Service and hospitality is excellent and the hotel is nicely presented.
The room we had was no frills but perfectly comfortable and clean with a nice on-suite bathroom and everything else we needed for the stay.
WiFi was included and worked well considering the location and parking was plentiful and easy to access.
One note though, there are two ways to get to the hotel - one though The Tomatin Distillery which is fine. The other, which SatNav will choose, has a very tight tunnel suitable only for cars and small SUVs.
Overall though I'd definitly recommend Glenan if you're staying near Inverness. Inversness town centre is literally 10 min drive and Loch Ness 20 mins.
Everything about this property was welcoming and thoughtful. From the welcome when you arrived, to little touches like the selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate in your room. The drawing room was so cozy I could have sat and read in it all day. A lovely assortment of choices for breakfast and it was delicious. Wish I had been staying here longer.
