At one time this was a premier place to stay in Iquique. It is now an older hotel showing some of its age but still a good place to stay because it is in a prime location a block from Playa Cavancha. We stayed 4 nights. Easy walk to Plaza Prat. All rooms have ocean view. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms.and okay bathroom. Safe, refrgerator, hot water kettle, and A/C in room. Typical breakfast. No on site restaurant but six great ones less than ablock away. Limited parking underneath hotel. Wifi was erratic with poor connection speeds. Staff friendly and helpful most with limited English.

The hotel lacks maintenance and its quality as a result has diminished considerably compared to few years ago. Reception's people is nice but insufficient. The breakfast restaurant was not at all clean and the food menu was very poor.

The hotel is well located, but they need to improve amenities, like no presence of restaurant, internet didn’t work well and old towels.

Nice pictures doesn’t match reality
Pictures of hotel look great, but I nside the furniture is run-down, there are stains on the walls, and the air conditioning did not work. Ended up cutting the reservation short (even though I had pre-paid and couldn’t get a refund) and went to another hotel.

Average Hotel in most ways
The room was very hot during the sunset, which made air conditioning necessary. It didn't work at all. The bathroom had these constant sounds of leaks coming from other rooms. My son wanted to use the pool on a Thursday (Monday is the official day they clean the waters) but all we got was a "oh..... using the pool? that can't be done". Other than that, the breakfast was ok, the clean towells were indeed clean, but I am very disappointed. Also, the wifi was sluggishly slow and I needed it as I work in IT. So I will be glad never to return to this hotel.

spark hotel is nothing like it used to be...I remember it as one of the best hotels in Iquique,,, we booked this hotel because the price was pretty decent and we loved it in the past... the hotel has aged badly to start and needs a renovacion, nothing major but little details to make it a top hotel again... housekeeping was not good... knocked on the door and said She could clean the room now or just the next day cause she was going to another floor.... I told her to give me 10 minutes, I left and came back 5 hours later and nothing... the shampoos are only half full, so it feels like they are leftovers... kind of gross in my opinion... the windows are dirty and the breakfast was just ok...

Good location, bad maintenance
I've been at this hotel 2 years ago and the place was much better. This time you can tell there's lack of maintenance ...for instance the bathroom doesn't have a tray to put the shampoo/soap/etc (you have to put it on the floor), the windows needs cleaning. The pool looks filthy (green water). They don't have a restaurant (last time they had a Japanese restaurant). The only thing that I could say on their favor is they're located near Cavancha beach.

Great location and nice room. I got a nice room for three and it was big enough for my family.

I had my employee staying at the hotel and called to let them know my employee would be checking in a couple days late and to not cancel his prepaid room. When my employee arrived the hotel had canceled his reservation and did not have room for him anymore. My employee then had to pay for another night even though he had 5 prepaid nights. I have had my workers stay at this hotel on average 50 nights a year for the past 3 years and now I will never book another night with this hotel and I will make sure that it is taken off the list when I book for all of my contractors as well. Horrible service and not worth any amount of money. Don't make the same mistake that I made. Go to a hotel that appreciates their guests and honors their paid reservations.

Best value in Iquique
Hotel is perfectly located right across the street from the beach and walking distance from the center of town. Felt safe in the neighborhood. Iquique lacks five star hotels on the beach strip and Spark hotel is probably the best you will find so close to the beach. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Wi-fi was a bit spotty (typical in Chile) and the breakfast was basic. (Note: other hotels we looked at in Iquique Holiday Inn Express - had major construction going right in front onto the beach, and Radisson, very far from center of town)

Good-enough business hotel in great location
One night stay in this good-enough business hotel. The rooms, service, and staff were all fine. Big plus was the beachside location and proximity to a lot of restaurants, nightlife and the ocean. Included breakfast was pretty good.

Great view of the beach and sunsets. Staff were very helpful, we left early in the morning, before breakfast, and they arranged our taxi and a packed breakfast for us. Have already booked to stay again!

Great location
The hotel is one block from Cavancha, and close to everything to see in Iquique. My room had a nice view of the beach. There is a small but nice swimmingpool area where you can rest quietly.

The hotel was clean and reasonably modern as you would expect for the rate. Service at check in was unfriendly, unhelpful and tainted the overall experience. The room was big and clean, but the air conditioning did not work properly, so it was always hot. The hotel is not beach front, but one block from it.

I would stay again
The rooms were clean, updated and the staff was very friendly. The only complaint was that the pillows were as hard as a rock.

Rude staff bad management
Rude staff poorly managed.Great location, view and room but when the staff at front desk is rude unhelpful and plain terrible all the nice things of the Hotel can go to a second place. Very likely that the staff attitude came from the management of the Hotel where they dont take the customer first. Best location great room but service is important and they really lack it.

Muy ruidoso.
Muy ruidoso, me tocó habitación al lado de un bar-cafetería.. fue imposible dormir hasta pasadas las 01:00 am. Terrible considerando es un viaje por trabajo, y no hicieron esfuerzo por cambiar la habitación.

Una estadía que no estuvo a la altura.
Hotel de muy buena limpieza, ubicación muy buena. Lamentablemente la habitación es muy poco funcional, el sector de la ducha debiera mejorar ya que el agua sale hacia afuera mojando la sala de baño. El sector de comedores no lo encontré agradable, al no existir cortinas y estar puesto la televisión a un volumen alto, era molesto. El ruido de maquinaria en una parte del edificio era a ratos insoportable.

Altamente recomendable
Muy bueno el recibimiento, la habitacion muy espaciosa y moderna decoración, la limpieza perfecta , la vista al maravillosa, desayuno muy rico y variado , se puede usar la piscina ( con aforo) , y su gran terraza para los que fumamos ,en general es un hotel muy tranquilo y todos muy amables en su trato, además la ubicación cercana a restaurantes de comida gourmet , pizzas y la playa cavancha a 4 min caminando , hace de este hotel , una de las mejores opciones en iquique , felicidades y por supuesto que volveremos . Altamente recomendable

Das Hotel liegt zentral, das Zimmer ist gut eingerichtet und hatte Meerblick. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal. Viele gute Hinweise und Tipps zur Stadt, zum Land und zur Reise. Uneigennützig und engagiert.

La vista al Mar, el buen servicio, las camas muy cómodas, habitación bien equipada, lo recomiendo. Además luego del Check out dejamos nuestro equipaje en recepción para dar las últimas vueltas por la ciudad, excelente, la recepcionista excelente trato, la destaco.

Me gusto la ubicación y no me gusto el desorden esta en remodelacion no hay baño primer piso en sector piscina habia que subir al tercer piso mala atencion en personal que atendia en el desayuno baños de suite sucios toallas viejas y percudidas no habia servicio cafeteria ni psra tomar una bebida
