The staff was incredibly kind. The other guests were very nice. I would’ve preferred a lower bunk and they were plenty of those for them to give me but somehow I got an upper bunk. Otherwise it was a good place. The location is good if you’re interested in the old town sites.

Amazing hostel
If you’re in Istanbul stay here. I can not say enough good things about this hostel. We had such an amazing find here. Everyone that works here are amazing and made us feel so welcome. Seyful, Tarik, Sinan are seriously the best. Such great guys. We even left for 5 days and then came back here to say hi and hangout for another day. The bar is great and we met people from all over. Definitely would stay here again.

Everyone at the Cheers Hostel in Istanbul treated me like a queen from the first moment until the last! Sfy and Sinan greeted me with huge smiles & immediately helped me with my luggage when I arrived. Tarik was so sweet and always took the time to ask if I needed anything throughout my stay. Elif in the bar was super friendly and warm every time I saw her, and Hasan made delicious meatballs & chicken wings for our bbq. Even more impressive was the owner Onur. He went far, far beyond the expected to help me in a million ways. When I told him about a terrible hair color job I got in Israel, he sent me to his personal hair stylist, called several times during my appointment to make sure it was going well, and even waited at the hostel to see the results. In the end his stylist Zeki gave me the best color & cut of my life! On my last night Onur also moved me to a lovely single room in a sister hotel so that I would sleep well before a very long flight. Simply amazing client service! I am sad to leave and will definitely come back to Cheers Hostel when in Istanbul! 10/10!!!

The property is in an amazing location and the staff could not have been more welcoming! However there was mold in my shower. Otherwise it was a great property!

Cheers scores high marks for its knowledgeable and friendly staff and ideal location to the major tourist attractions. WiFi not that strong throughout. Private rooms can be three floors up without an elevator and in a separate building w/out a view 3 minutes walk from main lobby/bar/breakfast building.

Clean quiet and friendly.
Everyone was polite and helpful, and it had quite a family atmosphere about it. It is 2 minutes from all the important sites of Istanbul. Very clean and quiet. A really nice buffet breakfast is available in the morning. Really nice.

Great ratings fully deserved
Best city center hostel I've seen. Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff, plus clean rooms and bathrooms. They even provide a breakfast worth eating (unlike some places...). I felt as though I was staying with friends. I will return the next time I am passing through Istanbul.

Amazing staff made it for me !
It's a hostel so the comfort is all relative BUT the staff is absolutely fantastic which made my stay worth it. It's super well-located in the Sultanahmet area where everything you want to see is. The main problem is the noise, if you are staying right under the bar you better bring earplugs. Don't miss the view of the Hagia Sophia from the bar ! Would recommend and return.

Turkish hospitality and prime location!
Arrived late and only stayed one night, but was greeted by awesome staff that you could tell cared about the people staying there. Bed was nice, sheets and comforter above avarage. Bathrooms and showers were newer. Awesome value, great staff, amazing location! You would be hard pressed to find better in my opinion. Highly recommend.

I stayed only one night at Cheers Hostel in Istanbul but I wished I could have stayed longer. It was a really pleasant experience, starting from the first moment I got there. Very friendly staff, clean room, great Turkish buffet breakfast, great location in Sultanahmet, close to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern. I definitely recommend it!

Social and great location
Lots of friendly help from the staff and super social atmosphere. Located right in the middle of tourist Istanbul so convenient to get around. Clean and had good bathrooms, no kitchen

The location is exquisite — just minutes from the Blue Mosque, The Palace, and Hagia Sophia (which you can see out the bar window). Staff is also super friendly; Sinan, Em, and Fate (sp?) were some of the friendliest legends I met on my trip.

My brother and I traveled to Istanbul and booked Cheers Hostel. We were pleasantly surprised by the extremely friendly staff who maintained very cheerful over the 5 days that we stayed there. It is a 3-5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Mosque), Hagia Sophia, and the Topkapi Palace. Plenty of restaurants, cafes, dessert shops and souvenir spots. The location itself was worth staying there. Our room was actually in a building separate from the check-in building. We were pleasantly surprised by the size and space of the room, as well as the bathroom OMG literally looked like an all marble turkish bath. We did book a private room, maybe thats why there was so much space, not sure. Overall a great place in the heart of historic Istanbul.

A nice and cheap place right in the heart of Istan
I stayed only 1 night there, but i loved it, as Istanbul is my favorite city in the world, I will look for this place again, very clean, very quite, staff is brilliant and friendly. And the breakfast was just gorgeous ( for an overal price of 13 GBP for a night with brakfast included). I recommend it!

Awesome hostel with the friendliest/coolest staff.. nothing is a problem they are willing to help with anything, and show you the real Istanbul!!!! A good mixture of people from all the world coming and going so you meet lots of new friends .. the hostel is really clean and in a great location!!! Def cant wait to go back and stay again

Lovely positive atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door. Beautiful spot with beautiful people. Located in a perfect area with a rooftop bars which created a hazey but unbelievable time. Can't thank sinan enough. Great hostel.

트램역에서 걸어서 2분, 호스트 친절함, 스탭 친절함, 한국어 잘함, 바에서 보는 야경 최고! 4베드라서 4인실인줄 알았는데, 2층 4베드라서 8인실이라는 의미였음. 락커 & 키 기본제공 Close to tram stop just 2 min., friendly and kind host and staff, well speaking Korean and English, night view at the bar was amazing! There is NO 4 beds room. but totally fine. Free locker available

Friendly hostel
It is not the most fancy place, quite the opposite, but still a great place. The guys that run the place are extremely friendly. I stayed in a single room not in the main building and it was clean, quiet and good value for money. Breakfast is included, not a very big variety but it keeps hunger away. Great central location with fantastic view of Hagia Sofia.
