The properties was awful. Not clean there were smell. In breakfast the plate was dirty the food not fresh. The room was cold and too much sound from outside because the windows was not double. I am not recommending it at all.

I don't recommend staying at this hotel based on my recent experience: I originally booked for 7 nights but prior to going to the hotel I contacted Hotels.com and requested a change to 5 nights. I also called the hotel directly and talked to the reservation manager and he assured me that there would not be any problem and he could change the reservation. However, after I stayed and on my day of check out the resevation manager claimed that he should have received an email from Hotels.com. That was first time I heard that since when I had called him before arrival he never mentioned that. He basically lied to me and when I tried to explain to him that I had talked to him on the phone he became mean and disrespectful, dismissing me. I don't recommend staying at this hotel

The location of the hotel is excellent, overlooking the Bosphorus and close to the old city ,also has easy accessibility to public transport. The staff members were friendly and helped secure a taxi to the airport. The room was clean ,although sometimes there was an unpleasant odour(sewage smell ) from the bathroom. The overall stay was pleasing and would definitely stay in that hotel again

My elderly parents have stayed in at least 10 different hotels during their visits to Istanbul. This has been their favorite hotel so far. They loved the location, and it was easy for them to walk around the block for food and shopping. They also enjoyed the city and sea views.

Service people were very friendly and corporative But reception people were rude and not helpfull For example: I asked thr receptionist that the phone in my room is not working he just ignored me I called from my cellphone to the hotel i asked for towells but they dont understand what is the towells so they just ignored me.

very clean , beautiful decoration but its better to make the beds direct toward the sea, poor breakfast even with covid-19 ,still can make a better breakfast, small reception, big room, check in at 14:30 which is not helpful

our booking was for a sea view room which was more expenses than the normal room but the hotel didn't give us our sew view room and not even offer us any upgrade and they say u may cancel your booking if u want, we had no option to accept the rooms they offer us

booked a room with sea view for 2 days. At the check-in they did not know about the reservation. I had to wait 30 min then they gave me a room with no view and a nasty smell of sewage coming from the shower drain. I asked to fix it or to change my room, but nothing happened. In order to balance the price I paid they told me to change room the morning after between 9 and 12 to move to a suite. I packed and left my room at 10 but they told me to come back at 12. at 12 they told me the room was not ready yet and I had to wait until 13. The shower in the suite had a problem of draining, so big lake in the bathroom.

Great hotel close to all the historic sites
Fabulous hotel. The Manager Aydin is great. Speaks good English and has a really good knowledge of everything in Istanbul. We spent 14 nights there with a good size room. Close to all the palaces, museums and mosques. Surrounded by great little restaurants this hotel is around 15 to 20 minutes walk from the Ayasofya Mosque, Topkapi Palace and the Blue Mosque. Or walk across the road to the light rail to travel up to them. Also close to the water. Walk for a few minutes to all the ferries at Eminonu and Karakoy. Suggest you take ferry trips up the Golden horn, around the Bosphorus and across to the Prince's Islands. If you're going to other mosques, palaces, museums, shopping centres or any other sites most of them can be accessed walking, by ferries or light rail.

The busphure view rooms are good but tge other rooms are suck. Too expensive and does not worth the money I paid. I could have stayed in a better place with the money I spent.

Location is good. Room was in need of repair.
Broken toilet seat. Room was rated as sea view suite. Didn't match that description. English was limited by staff. The one good thing was location. Very close to Grand Bazaar and spice market. I'd give this hotel 2 stars

Hotel was in a great location, walking distance to most attractions like Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Cistern Basilica and Hagia Sopia. Nice view of the Bosphorus from the room. Breakfast was good. Staff were excellent, friendly and efficient.

Beautiful, small hotel
Great hotel. Stayed in a junior suite, which had floor to ceiling windows with an incredible view of the water and city. Complimentary breakfast was great. Front desk staff were very friendly once we got to know them. Felt very safe and walking distance to many of the best tourist sites in the city. Only downsides at all were slightly broken blinds in the room and some damage to the counter top. Overall, if we went back to Istanbul I would certainly stay here again.

Great location, staff and awesome room
Okay basically its 2 mins to eminonu port(12tl for short bosphorus cruise), 1 min walk to sirkeci station. In short, spize bazaar and sultanahmet area are within a stone's throw. If need to go taksim, take the tram, about 20 mins. Staff is excellent and always cheerful. They wil try their best to understand you. And the best part, all rooms are facing the sea! I was on honeymoon and we really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended

It was a good value for money. They were kind with us and they upgraded our room. overall, the hotel and rooms are in good shape especially if you compare it to other hotels in the area. but they can do more by doing better cleaning. another issue is the smell of the hotel.

Don't let them take you to their restaurant Kat4..
The hotel itself is decent quality for the money and the staff are very helpful however they must get paid a commission to take you to their overpriced restaurant Kat4. We paid 3 times the price in this restaurant and the quality was just not there. Instead....there is a excellent restaurant right down the street (in opposite direction) that has excellent food and excellent prices!!! You will notice it because it is always full (but no waiting) and the locals are eating here. Also, we could barely see out our windows because they needed cleaning so bad.

Pleasant hotel amazing location
Very pleasant hotel located in possibly the best and most ideal part of Istanbul. Although small the hotel had modern facilities and very clean rooms. The rooms had full and wonderful views of the Bosphorus as promoted. The staff very extremely friendly and helpful. although the Restuarant was small the open buffet breakfast was one of the better hotel breakfasts with custom made omelettes and eggs cooked with sucuk on offer for those for guests who wanted it together with complimentary Turkish coffee.

Bumped to a cheaper hotel
Arriving at this hotel we were told that 'due to a problem' we had been moved to another Manesol hotel in Istanbul. The Manesol Galata was visually inferior, in a back street up a steep hill and our expected Bosphorus view was replaced by that overlooking a building site. The agreed free transfer to the airport, offered by the first hotel, caused much discussion and phone calls before it was finally accepted that it had been offered and was then honoured. It is my belief that the Manesol Old City Bosphorus has a deliberate policy of bumping 'cheap' booking to other hotels in order to take advantage of better priced stays. I will be pursuing the matter with a view to compensation for a ruined Istanbul stay, which with notice could have been booked in an alternative hotel, on which there are many many that are better that the Manesol Galata and probably the Manesol Old City. I will never use another Manesol Hotel.
