We returned to this lovely inn for a short time in transit. We were treated to chai by Hüseyin, relaxed on the terrace and had a great time talking. We stayed at Modern Sultan Hotel for a week in July 2023 and loved it. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Turkish Breakfast in morning is amazing. Hotel is extremely close to most attractions in Sultanahmet (10 minutes walk) and public transportation is also close by. Only down is that the hotel does not have elevators but the staff was very helpful in getting our luggage to our room. Our room was on the top floor with a great view of the Hagia Sophia mosque. We would definitely come back to this hotel on our next trip to Istanbul.

The room was very good. The mattresses were comfortable, not too soft (not too firm, too). The pillows were comfortable as well. Our room had its own AC and we could control it. The AC worked perfectly and quietly. For breakfast, they had different kinds of pastry, fruits, vegetables, olives, eggs, hams, and cheeses. (I don’t mean this is the full list. There might be something else that I didn’t notice or don’t remember). There were instant coffee and tea bags, black and chamomile. The owner and staff were very friendly and reliable. The communication was easy. Before we arrived, they responded to my emails quickly and thoroughly. We appreciated it that they helped us organize transportation to the airport for a reasonable price. I would stay here again.

I really appreciate the management and this hotel is charming with breakfast included it is a really great value. It's walking distance to all the special sites like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cistern. I was really taken care of by the management and my room was adorable. Great area, close to everything. Breakfast was fresh and very tasty. Hotel Staff, especially Idris, went out of their way to help out with any plans, and itinerary for the immediate area. Their recommendations were on point and we had a wonderful time. Restaurants and Cafes in the area were delicious.

清潔感もあり設備も整っていました。旧市街地にも徒歩2分程で行くことができ、観光地へのアクセスが完璧です。また、スタッフの方もとても親切でフレンドリーでした。朝食も決して豪華では無いですが、バイキング形式で、とても美味しかったです。防音はあまり整っておらず、外の音が少し聞こえましたが、そこまで気にはなりませんでした。機会があればまた泊まりたいです！

This is an older hotel so no lift but it's right next to everything! Walking distance to blue Mosque, topkapi palace, you can see the Hagia Sophia from your windows. The T1 tram stop at gulhane is 1 minute walk as is gulhane park. Easy access to public transit you can be anywhere in the city in around an hour and a half (yes even the airports)
