It was amazing! Also, the food packages are absolutely worth it— at the very least book the breakfast and then grab dinner separately one of the nights!"

"Nice but antiquated hotel in Hakone. Conveniently located at Lake Ashinoko adjacent to the "Pirate ship" dock. It gets very quiet after 4-5pm, with very few restaurants in the surrounding area. Motohakone is a short 10-15minute walk where you'll find the closest 7/11. Also a nice scenic walk to the Hakone Shrine. Take advantage of your stay in Hakone by getting up early and visiting the Shrine before the day crowd comes in. Very peaceful and serene in the early morning."
