Located right by kitesurfers paradise beach with a restaurant that leaves nothing to be desired. Very safe and pleasant for solo female travellers. The team are so lovely, I want to specifically mention Rose and Happy! Will come back soon!"

"This is an amazing property to stay in Zanzibar. We were upgraded to the frangipani villa which was spacious and well appointed. The private pool was great. The main swimming pool is huge and doesn’t get too crowded. The food options at the main dining room were good with a lot of vegetarian options for breakfast and dinner. Beverage options are nice and reasonably priced. The complimentary fruits at mid morning and ice cream at mid afternoon around the pool area are a great touch. The staff is polite and extremely helpful. We had to see the onsite doctor as one of us wasn’t feeling too well one day. The staff promptly arranged for the doctor to arrive who was extremely helpful and thoughtful in his advice which we highly appreciated. The doctor didn’t charge us for his visit and medication even when we asked if he was sure. As has been discussed previously in other reviews, most beaches in Zanzibar have big tidal ranges and at low tide, the sea retreats by a lot. We didn’t swim on the beach for that reason and there’s also a lot of sea weed that the staff tries to clean every day. Nevertheless, the main and private swimming pools more than made up for it. There are a lot of monkeys around the resort and the staff warn you at the outset to keep the doors closed. It is advice that must be heeded to. The resort is family friendly. That’s great if you have kids of your own but if you don’t, it can feel a bit like school nursery during breakfast / dinner time. "

"Our stay at the Bamboo Hotel was truly wonderful. The grounds are absolutely stunning, and the unique architectural design—where you can gaze out at the ocean as if it’s a living, breathing TV screen—is incredibly relaxing. The rooms were spotless and clearly well-maintained; the staff does an exceptional job keeping everything clean and comfortable. Service was excellent—everyone was warm, attentive, and eager to make our stay enjoyable. The food was delicious, and we especially loved the fresh juices—they were refreshing and full of flavor. Overall, we highly recommend the Bamboo Hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by beautiful waters and top-notch service."

"We had an amazing stay at the Amani! The hotel is a perfect place for an adults-only, quiet, relaxing stay. The location was a bit outside of Paje (20 minute walk along the beach), and there were limited options for dining because of the location, but dinner is included so that meant we had a quiet, delicious dinner every night. The view of the pool, grounds, and beautiful beach were beautiful. There were lounges chairs on the beach and pool and enough for every guest - a first for us! The only downside was the large construction project next door. It didn't really affect us, but we talked to several guests who were placed in rooms with a view of the construction and a jack hammer pounding all day long. They were equally frustrated that they had not been informed in advance. Also, the hotel lists itself as a 5-star hotel. It is not, though it is certainly very nice. What really sets the Amani apart is the incredible staff. We felt pampered as if we were in a typical 5-star hotel. In particular, Hamad helped us unwind and relax from the moment we arrived until we left; Alfred was amazing with his attentiveness and constant joy; Robert never stopped anticipating what we might want or need next. We highly recommend this hotel, though you'd probably want to check in advance to make sure you have a room that is not facing the project next door (it looks like many months of work left ahead). "Me and my girlfriend spent time in Zanzibar to celebrate our birthdays. I found Samawa Living as I looking for a nice Place to stay for the week. Booking our room was straightforward and they even supporting with transportation from the Airport and back, which will cost a fee since it is an hour away. Upon checking we were greeted by the host that evening and shown our beautiful room. Also the food was amazing as well. Please not that this a Muslim country for the most part and the don't eat pork. Which was fine but please make sure you try the Beef Bacon. Lastly I would recommend taking advantage of the amenities. my lady and I got a massage that was so amazing and I also spent time in the mini Gym getting some workouts in as well the ice bath. Overall we had a wonderful stay."

"Great self catering apartment But located close to bar and Fri night and Sat night had loud music till early morning. "
