Beautiful hotel in a great spot! I became unwell whilst staying here and the staff we so lovely and caring. They allowed us to extend our stay and not have to change rooms. They also drove us to and from the hospital when needed.

Great location and great hotel common area and rooms. We stayed in a room with a balcony. The breakfast was delicious and would recommend. The staff was nice and attentive. FYI that they do not have driver accommodation on site so if you have a driver, they’ll have to stay elsewhere. Prime location. Would stay again.

The staff and management at the Radh are absolutely wonderful! From the front desk staff, the hosts and hostess in the restaurant, and the gentleman at the front door - all were absolutely wonderful, inviting and friendly. I can't say enough good things about the people.

Great stay.
The hotel was fantastic. It was modern, beautiful, good location and lovely staff. I was only there 1 night and thoroughly enjoyed it. I arrived late but there are nice cafes around the corner that were open for dinner. I had a room with a balcony and it was lovely having a cup tea watching the sun rise in the morning. Breakfast was a buffet and there was a wide selection of local and western foods. Totally recommend this hotel in Kandy.

Stayed for one night at the end of our 8 night stay in Sri Lanka. We stayed in the family room with our kids. It was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great too. Kanishka was especially smiley and helpful.

Great hotel in the center of Kandy
The Radh is new or newly renovated, the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Hotel staff is really friendly and the service is great. The have a hotel car that can be booked at reasonable rates they even picked us up from Dambulla. The hotel is very centrally located next to the holy precinct and close to the lake, markets and the city center.

A nice hotel that is trying hard to be great.
The concierge was very helpful and booked us their driver to collect us from the airport and bring us on the 2 hour trip to the hotel. The hotel is located near the Temple of the Sacred Tooth and a short walk to Kandy Lake. Check in was a little slow but the reception team were friendly and eager to please. We were shown to our room - a decent size but with no real view and a damp smell. Additionally we were only given 1 room card which meant each time we left the room the electric/air con turned off and was slow to cool down again. The room was clean and had a good size bed, firm and soft pillows, a small wardrobe with a safe and a desk area with plug sockets. Bathroom contained a toilet, good powerful shower and 2 sinks. Tea and instant coffee making facilities and fresh bottled water was provided each day and there is a small fridge in the room. Internet worked for day 1 in the hotel but none of the supplied codes would work after that. The hotel has a restaurant on the ground floor which offers a local and international menu for breakfast and dinner. We opted for the international breakfast which wasn't great so skipped breakfast on day 2 (much to the hotel's dismay as almost everyone chased us for breakfast!) Due to the proximity to the temple there is no bar on site. A nice enough hotel in a city with very few nice hotels. The hotel is very small but clean and has what you need in each room. The staff try very hard but have limited English and are often 'over attentive'

I was very impressed with the Radh. The pictures on the expedia listing didn't do it justice, it was nicer! The staff were absolutely wonderful, and taught me about some of the typical Sri Lankan dishes available for breakfast - it turns out that Hoppers and Dahl is my new favorite. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, and will stay here again (hoping to return in 2024).

We received a room upgrade through expedia benefits. It was a a really nice room. The minibar snacks are all complimentary and so was breakfast. Balaji Dosai (highly recommend) is walking distance for other meals and the Sacred Tooth temple is also walking distance. Customer service is great here and they even provided free transportation to and from the train station.

Had the pleasure to meet Ikram (hotel manager) and he was very attentive and made sure we had a nice stay and experience in Kandy. The restaurant was very good. The breakfast was amazing. Would recommend the hotel.

Great location in the heart of the city. I e-mailed them my train arrival time and my estimated time to walk to the hotel; they said they would send someone to pick me up. Unexpected bonus. I needed shoe repair while there, and they took care of it for me; very nice.

Honestly I think the hotel is just so so and over priced. I wouldn’t pay more than $60 a night. It’s on a busy street, the rooms are small and the breakfast was terrible at best. The staff are friendly but not much else going for the hotel.

My wife and I stayed at the Radhe hotel for 2 nights and loved it. The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. The location is great just a short walk to city center and the temple of Buddha’s tooth. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Definitely worth a stay if visiting Kandy!
We stayed at the Radh for one night in Kandy. The hotel is in an extremely convenient location, the staff are incredibly friendly (they can’t do enough for you), and the hotel is really well designed and done out to a very high standard. Everything is thought of and more.

Booked a garden suite with a plunge pool but didn’t get it although we had paid extra for it. We were told we had been upgraded to a suite which was on the fourth floor with a grubby jacuzzi bathtub on the balcony. Again not what we had booked. The hotel was tired looking but clean. Dinner was a bit of a fiasco. Firstly we couldn’t have wine with dinner. This was fine and not the fault of the hotel. It was because of the hotel’s close proximity to the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic. However, I think would be guests should be warned ahead of time. In the restaurant, my partner & I ordered our main courses and my partner ordered a side of fries to accompany his. Firstly the fries arrived which we commenced eating. When they were finished, my main arrived but not his. He now ordered a second side of fries to go with his main which finally arrived but no fries until his main was finished. We were the only two people in the restaurant. That night after reviewing the hotel I had an apologetic call from the duty manager. The next morning the service at breakfast was exemplary and on check out they wanted to refund the cost of the dinner which we declined since we had eaten the food and the gripe was with the delivery not the quality and with charging us for the room we didn’t get.

Great hotel
Nice hotel located in the heart of Kandy. Few extra touches that made it extra special, like the toiletries supplied were great. Even had a small loofer, shaver, comb etc. Complimentary mini bar was nice. Room was spacious. Comfortable bed. Nice buffet breakfast.

Top Notch Hotel!
The Radh is a truly excellent hotel! Everything about it was fantastic. The staff were very nice, the rooms were extremely nice, and very well outfitted. Everything was the latest design - including international electrical outlets with USB ports, etc. The breakfast was very nice. We were a bit disappointed that the menu was very western and Japanese and didn't have a great selection of Sri Lankan or Asian cuisine, but there are many options available nearby for dinner. The location of the hotel is amazing - right near the Kandy Temple. We would highly recommend this wonderful hotel!

The Radh is a lovely, modern hotel well located in Kandy. I gave it a score of 3 because I had a problem that was not resolved to my satisfaction. On the drive from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya I realized that I left my 6 foot charging cord for my IPad and phone plugged into the wall next to the bed. I called the hotel from Nuwara Eliya. The receptionist said he would check with the lost and found person and call me back. An hour later I called again and I was told that I would receive a call in the morning. The next day the manager called to say they did not have my cord. Someone at the hotel has it. My driver had to return to Kandy that evening for a family emergency and planned to stop by the hotel to pick up the cord. He called the hotel twice and was also told they did not have my cord. Fortunately I had a 2 foot cord with me as a backup. I am disappointed with what I consider dishonesty and I am angry with myself that I left a good tip in the room for housekeeping with a thank you note. I visited and had lunch at a lovely hotel in Kandy called Queens Hotel. It’s older with lovely colonial style, dark wood, and high ceilings. If I should ever visit Kandy again, that is where I will stay.

The Radh was like a royal retreat from the chaos of Kandy. the streets of Kandy are quite but once you walk through the door you feel like you have been transported to another town. It was so nice to come back from a day of business and enjoy the peaceful, quite and comfortable surrounds of the Radh. The food was beautiful (never to little) and the staff and eco conscious ways of the hotel were amazing. So nice to go away somewhere and feel like you are not adding to the landfill.
