Hotels with Swimming Pools in Kansas City

"Our family of four (2 adults, 2 elementary age kids) had a nice stay at the Hilton KC Country Club Plaza for three nights over spring break. The king bed was very comfortable, but the pull-out couch bed was thin and springy - thankfully the kids don't care about that. I pre-ordered the breakfast for us through Expedia for $28/night, which got us all access to the breakfast buffet - normally $22/person/day and would have been WAY overpriced. For our light breakfasts, even the $28 felt a bit high, but they did have a tasty buffet with good fresh fruit, warm eggs and sausages, yogurt, cereal, muffins, etc. Definitely a decent buffet and was nice to have breakfasts taken care of without going elsewhere. - The lobby was nice and clean, and smelled good! - We used self-parking for $30/night, which felt steep, but is well in line with other hotels in KC. The parking is directly on-site under the hotel though and felt generally secure, covered and convenient. - The room was slightly on the small side, but generally clean with good daily cleaning. - The pool was open and kids loved it! We were here in early April and the pool goes from indoors to outdoors, which is a fun variation for a hotel pool. The pool says it is heated, but with it being early spring and cool temps, we would not consider the pool to be outright warm. It was cool but swimmable, and again, fun to swim from indoors to outdoors and back. There is no hot tub. Pool towels were (usually) available near the pool. "

"Room had a lot more damage than I would have expected for the ratings. Broken door parts damage to lamps and missing covers on shower bars. Staff was amazing and very accommodating!"

"It was nice, clean and the staff was pretty friendly. We stayed there because we went to a convention. Our issue was that we had my niece with us. She is 20 years old. One of the restaurants that we wanted to go to, you had to go through the casino, so, we were unable to go. Why they don't have a door to get in outside of the casino is beyond me. Other than that, it was fine."

"The only issue I had is that when I went to take a shower....and was in the shower....I found out there was no conditioner. And that frustrated me. Otherwise...it was fine. The shuttle service to the airport was very efficient. Leaving my car in the airport lot was very nice, and very reasonably priced as well."
