Good: Tastefully appointed (as a PR hack would say) room and lobby; feels up-to-date; breakfast included
Bad: Truly minuscule rooms (smaller even than New York—more bed than floor); shower is shared with toilet; poor soundproofing; lights went on in the middle of the night; very minor ant problem
Ugly: Dining area smells of sewage
Very nice hotel, with unusual and quirky décor. Very conveniently located near to MRT station , and vibrant night market. The staff were extremely helpful., nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them.
(Shi Chi Hotel) seems seldom handle Hotels.com reservation. The check-in service staff try to check the reservation from hotels.com take a lot of time.....
Shi Chi hotel turned out to be a surprisingly good choice.
The room's wall looks a little cheesy, but the price-to-performance ratio was high.
The room is really well equipped and spacious. The bed was comfortable.
It's near Kaohsiung Arena and Hanshin mall, and the MRT is less than a block away.
It's only 2 stops to Zuyoing high speed rail.
The breakfast is not buffet style, but it comes with 6 different menus ranging from omelettes to sandwiches to burgers. I was in a rush so I couldn't try the breakfast, but I think I will come back to this hotel for my next visit to Kaohsiung.
