The Griya is a fantastic location and a view to die for with friendly staff and clean accommodation. Room layout 2 bedrooms being separate was private. Only thing our friends were originally in room 4 until I said this was arranged 9 months prior and they moved our friends which was great. Rooms 6 and 7 had interconnected door which enabled our friends to share facilities. Great for the kids and adults too. The staff were all very friendly and accomodating from booking early to kitchen, bar staff and cleaners. The private infinity pool in our villa was outstanding. The kitchen fully equipped with all utensils if you needed to cook but we did not as the restaurant was great. The rooftop bar loved it as it was our happy place. Not far from diving spots which were world class. (Definitely recommend fresh fins)

Peaceful stay

Stayed for 8 nights in a deluxe villa - everything was great. Few things were or broke down during our stay, but all were handled immediately. Food was good, the list being pretty long - they had a daily recommendation, so we followed that. Staff was super helpful and helped us find things to do. Got transported from and to airport by them and the driver managed to get us safely through the somewhat chaotic traffic. Would definitely recommend and will come back.

Best view ever right on the ocean when you wake up. Big spaces . Great service and staff . Very good food. Close to the main beaches for snorkeling. For the rest you will need a private driver or rent a scooter ( but a bit dangerous in amed ) . I highly recommend

Looks great on the surface but the reality is different. We had a one bed villa. Lovely spacious area with private pool. However once settled in these things became apparent: 1. Air conditioning didn’t work properly. It was stuck on one temperature. 2. There were loads of bugs in the bed. LOADS. Like the room hadn’t been freshened up in weeks 3. WiFi didn’t work and had to be reset. Clearly not checked in time for our arrival 4. Biggest issue - THIS HOTEL DO NOT SELL BOTTLED WATER. how is that even possible?! None provided in room. We had to source our own. None served at breakfast or dinner. 5. When we mentioned these things at checkout the receptionist didn’t apologise. Not even bothered. Everything seems cheap. Like the security guard/ gardener showed us to our room. Do not stay here.

Fantastic place to stay near an amazing beach for swimming and snorkelling. The view from the villa was beautiful. The staff were all lovely. The villas and pools will need some maintenance in the near future as there is some wear and tear, but this did not detract from our stay.

Great stay in Amed

We truly enjoyed our stay at The Griya Villas. Location was superb for diving with many dive shops and dive sites just around the corner. Hotel staff did a wonderful job in accommodating all our wishes. They also went above and beyond to get our lost luggage from the airport. Food at the restaurant was tasty, nicely presented and great value for the money. We also appreciated a possibility to have breakfast at our villa, especially during the early mornings we went for a dive. Only drawback was very small flies(?) which occasionally bothered us during the night. Overall a great stay, excellent service at this interesting and less touristy part of Bali!

Great stay at Griya

If youre into quiet serene views, lots of space and being surrounded by nature, far from the hustle and bustle of city life, then Griya is the place for you. We really enjoyed our stay abd the staff were super helpful and friendly. It was during caterpillar season though and part of the "nature" bit included the upsides and downsides...in this case, loads of caterpillars crawling everywhere- you get used to it after a while and they're quick to send someone round to clean up. If you are travelling there/back late at night, the service support might be minimal outside working hours.

The property location was beautiful. The lack of available facility amenities such as sauna, treadmill and bikes was disappointing for a 5 star resort. The dining facilities were well below the standard expected from a 5 star resort. The manager appeared quite arrogant and unperturbed that our Villa was not available to us until after 4pm although check in was 2pm. Additional to this on our dining experience there were a number of things from the menu that were not available on 3 separate occasions that we had breakfast.
