"Staff was extremely kind and courteous, and were very much the highlight of my stay. But the room smelt of cigarettes and the construction on the building made it difficult to navigate."
"The hotel was easy to get by limousine bus and nice hotel lobby area. Hotel staff was very helpful and free umbrellas when rainy outside. Good hotel. "
"We chose this hotel as it was near the park. The staff were efficient and very helpful. They have us tea and sweets on arrival before showing us to our room. The western style twin beds were clean and comfortable apart from the normal Japanese hard pillows. The legless chairs with cushions were set on a tatami platform and it overlooked a residential area & trees. The shower room was clean and well appointed. "Great centralized location. Ultra clean hotel with great amenities and features. I would say the main issues were having only 3 elevators hardly met the demands of the people. There more than a few times where I waited over 3 minutes for an elevator and a few times I had to wait for the next elevator. Also they need a few more wash machine and dryer. I stood in line for the next washing machine for over 2 hours. Shin-shigai over all needs a makeover. It looks dirty, dark and unsafe, but the hotel itself is beautiful inside."
"Many good restaurants, convenient stores and shopping easily accessible. Beds were very comfortable.
Another towel rack in the bathroom would be nice to have."
"This is the Sotetsu Inn you should choose when visiting Kumamoto. Note that it is bigger than the typical Sotetsu inns in the Tokyo area so you get a more spacious quiet and comfortable room. Location is perfect as you are right next to the shopping arcade. "
"Very professional staff, exceptionally clean facilities, comfortable bed, wired internet access with a complimentary cable, and a fantastic central location—just a short walk from the tram station."
"The hotel looks right out at the castle. Walking across the street is the park and an incredible art museum. Shopping is in walking distance. The staff were so helpful. There are places to sit and relax. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. "
