"It was okay, nothing more. Good price, but the food was average and the service was slow. Nice pool area and access to beach. Room was good, but there is no wifi there, only in the reception and restaurant/pool. Be aware it is a non-alcoholic bar, so having a drink by the pool is not possible. Lots of very nice hotels with great bars and good restaurants on both sides."

"This a great hotel, suitable for those on a budget. It is really laidback and peaceful and great for anyone looking to get away from the stresses of everyday life. This is the second time my husband and I have used this hotel and since our last visit there is a welcoming new reception area. The rooms are clean and spacious. Would recommend this hotel to others. "This boutique hotel was perfect for our one week stay in Zanzibar. It is small, quaint, and manageable. Although the immediate beach is a fishing location, with boats, and therefore not swimmable, there was plenty to do. We enjoyed a snorkeling excursion to a nearby Island. The staff was five star. Each. And. Every. One. "

"We stayed 2 nights in Sunshine Bay Hotel. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming, ensuring that we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay. Every request was met with a smile, and they went above and beyond to make our experience seamless. The hotel facilities were top-notch—everything was pristine and designed with comfort in mind. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and offered every amenity I could need. The attention to detail in both the public spaces and private rooms truly stood out. Whether it was enjoying a delicious meal at the hotel restaurant, relaxing by the pool, or simply taking in the stunning views from the beach, every aspect of the hotel exceeded our expectations. I left feeling fully relaxed and refreshed and can't wait for my next visit!"

"Lovely place to stay. Food was ok. Room very spacious and beautifully decorated. Massage was absolutely beautiful. The staff were very attentive and friendly, the manager was a bit of an opportunist and will try get extra $$ when he gets a chance. Overall beautiful place. Would definitely recommend."

"We really looked forward to staying at the Zanzibar Queen given other reviews. It didnt disappoint. Fantastic location in beautifully kept grounds. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The pool area was clean and enticing. There was also boules, volleyball and badminton available to keep the body exercised. As well as table tennis and darts. The restaurant was superb. Ingredients and dishes were varied and akin to fine dining. Resort felt very private although effectively right on the beach. Rooms well decorated, hot showers and balconies facing the stunning indian ocean. A top recommendation and thanks to all the staff for looking after us so well."

"Wow, wow wow!!!!!! Honestly, if I can give this place 10 out of 10 I would .This hotel was beyond my expectations. The staff went beyond and above the cleanliness of the room was top-notch. The food was to die for I am in Boston craving it currently. For anyone traveling to Zanzibar this is the place you have to go to. Beach is walking distance so it’s super convenient. Communication with manager was amazing even before I arrived fast and efficient. I would love to shout out The following employees that made my stay here in Kena Beach all worth it, Sarah, asteria,Elizabeth, Fadhil and Suniluman. Thank you all and look forward to my next visit. Hope everyone books with Kena Beach."
