The room was nice with direct access to the pool. ● no water on two occasions ● restaurant did not have all the food that was listed on the menu ● bar did not have liquor to make drinks tgat was listed on the menu ● owner and staff's four year old children (2) were in the pool without supervision. "I am a solo female traveller. Zanzibar House is an excellent property in so many ways. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are a delight to be in, with lots of comfortable places to sit and read or contemplate the beauty of the area. I did not use the pool and I am sure it would be lovely. At night time I had an evening meal which was tasty and they accommodated my dietary requirements very well. I am gluten intolerant. I recommend this hotel if you like quiet and beauty filled...

Perfect relaxing holiday

"Relaxing holiday. All staff smiling, very friendly and service minded. Excellent team. The food was excellent, perhaps a bit expensive, but very tasty and beautifully served. Special thanks to the waiter Daniel who was really making a difference. We tried yoga and the yoga instructor Anna was really good, Stayed in the ocean view bungalow. The only thing which I recommend is a new madras as it was a bit used. "

"This boutique hotel was perfect for our one week stay in Zanzibar. It is small, quaint, and manageable. Although the immediate beach is a fishing location, with boats, and therefore not swimmable, there was plenty to do. We enjoyed a snorkeling excursion to a nearby Island. The staff was five star. "We stayed 2 nights in Sunshine Bay Hotel. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming, ensuring that we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay. Every request was met with a smile, and they went above and beyond to make our experience seamless. The hotel facilities were top-notch—everything was pristine and designed with comfort in mind. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and offered every amenity I could need. The attention to detail in both the public spaces and private rooms truly stood out. Whether it was enjoying a delicious meal at the hotel restaurant, relaxing by the pool, or simply taking in the stunning views from the beach, every aspect of the hotel exceeded our expectations. "Lovely place to stay. Food was ok. Room very spacious and beautifully decorated. Massage was absolutely beautiful. The staff were very attentive and friendly, the manager was a bit of an opportunist and will try get extra $$ when he gets a chance. Overall beautiful place. Would definitely recommend."

Family holiday

"We really looked forward to staying at the Zanzibar Queen given other reviews. It didnt disappoint. Fantastic location in beautifully kept grounds. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The pool area was clean and enticing. There was also boules, volleyball and badminton available to keep the body exercised. As well as table tennis and darts. The restaurant was superb. Ingredients and dishes were varied and akin to fine dining. Resort felt very private although effectively right on the beach. Rooms well decorated, hot showers and balconies facing the stunning indian ocean. A top recommendation and thanks to all the staff for looking after us so well."
