"Really disappointing experience. Partly due to my lack of organisation but mostly due to the way it was handled. I had good communication with the hotel about 24h check in and the fact my flight was arriving at 2.30am. However I booked my one night before checking ferry times and when it turned out there was only 1 ferry leaving at 7.40am I asked if it was possible to get a refund. I got no reply. I sent two more messages and then emailed, finally getting a response to say that they would not offer a refund. I replied saying no problem and that in that case I would come to the hotel for a couple of hours' sleep and asked what time breakfast started. I got no reply. When I arrived at the hotel at 3.30am I was told that there was no booking in my name. Instead of trying to help find a solution this very rude person eventually found that the booking had been cancelled and instead of offering to reinstate in (bearing in mind the room was available and had been paid for) I was told to pay for a new booking. I disputed this and we went through the entire message exchange before it was acknowledged that I had not asked or agreed to cancel the booking. Long story short, a misunderstanding followed by one rude person's actions made for a miserable start to my holiday but to end on a positive - the room itself seemed nice from the short time I spent in it and was conveniently situated for the ferry. The breakfast was ok and the staff in the breakfast room were friendly."

"My complaint was that I booked a King bed room. When we checked in they put us in a queen room. I returned to the reception desk to say that we wanted a king room and the agent insisted that we had a king room. finally, I said if you want to go look, it is not a king bed. I had to argue with them and eventually they put us in a king room. that was an unpleasant experience, after flying for over 14 hours. I’m not sure if it was Expedia or the property but either way that left a bad taste in my mouth."

"We arrived at the hotel and waited for Maria to come and check us in. She was very pleasant and helpful giving us places to see while we waited for our apartment unit to be ready. It was across the street from the actual hotel. The room was very comfortable and a little quirky (which I will not go into), just something we were not used to. Nothing too terrible. The breakfast at the hotel in the moring was fantastic with the lady running the kitchen a real master. We had everything to eat that we wanted. When we were leaving, Maria made arrangements for a taxi to take us to the port where we were catching out cruise ship. Everything was smooth and without any issues. I would love to see what the actual rooms were like since we stayed in an apartment. But everything was outstanding."
