Kona Village is magical - the grounds, the hales (rooms), the spa, the yoga, the bikes to ride around the property and the stunning beach. But such a magical 5 star resort should also offer excellent cuisine and hospitality. We were shocked by the inconsistent food, the lack of variety and the room service which was never correct and delivered uncovered. We were so excited to return to our beloved Kona Village after 16 years but were left very disappointed. Unless something dramatic changes with the management we shall not return. "

The one thing that could be problematic for older guests or guests with mobility challenges will need a conveyance vehicle, as it is a very, very large property. There is a tram but it was not working consistently. The staff is responsive when a request for assistance is made "

"The rental house was in good condition, and it was obvious there are some improvements underway. The exterior of the rental had just been painted (the paint was still drying) when we arrived.
