First Timer in Rayong
Great resort,friendly staff and nice location the beach 200 meters from the hotel property .Quiet area great for a relaxing time. Nice little bar ( Dive Bar ) next to the resort and if you want make a quick trip into town hotel offers a free shuttle service .

Great view, nice beach, quiet location, nice pool. They've got some kinks to work out in the customer service department. The manager did offer a discount at the end of my stay to make up for a few small yet irritating issues.

Needs improvements
Great location but water temperature is a big issue when you the showers either steaming or very cold. Also when we checked in it was clear that the person at the front desk was confused about safety procedure for foreigners. Need more training for the staff. And no alcoholic beverages in the facility. We had to go to the other resorts to enjoy a drink. Great location is the only plus.

Perfect relaxation!
Excellent experience at Centara q! Hotel and room clean and bed very comfortable. Fantastic water view from room 705. Service outstanding in all areas... room service, restaurant, shuttle and front desk. Breakfast choices were high quality and many options. Beach area clean and mostly quiet...water perfect. Great place to relax as there is nothing to walk to in the area. But there is all day shuttle service to town for eating seafood or relaxing at a different beach area...or for water at 7/11. Would certainly stay here again. Thanks Centara for a wonderful stay!

Quiet beach resort, bathroom could do with magnifying mirror. Room could do with a full length mirror. Staff very helpful. Could benefit with activities like table tennis on days of high tide and wind. We had after effects of storm Pabut. On days like these flexibility required to lay on extra trips to next village, eg. .Spa could include manicure and pedicure services! Excellent breakfast, but for people on long stays would be nice to have some variations on food provided. We occupied room 703 which had a fantastic sea view. Had pad Thai in quicksand on first evening and ithie noodles were stuck together. I expected a dish with high national profile to be cooked perfectly. Had lunch one day and food took an hour to arrive. That really put us off eating in the restaurant. where are the fish cakes, another very well known item on Thai menu? All suggestions would make the Centara almost perfect! Great effort made for New Years Eve celebration, and every thing was cleared up the next day!

Nice hotel direct at the sea with their own beach area. Many Thai families enjoy this hotel with their kids. Friendly and helpful staff.. The service at the beach could be better. .Extremely loud beach parties ttake place on some evenings. All in all, however, a recommendable hotel.

New model of hotel with private beach.
Good facilities of hotel and convenient with brach condition. Just not sutable for parking lot that have a few do not align with nimber of customer. The destination is really far but quite more private.

Hotel is just OK. Too many steps. Beach dirty.
Staff were lovely but unfortunately the hotel was a big disappointment. In the middle of nowhere which was fine for us as we have a car. There are better hotels for the same money or less.

Nice and modern
The stay was good, breakfast was pretty good quality with variety of choice. However the location is a bit far from everywhere else, it would be better if the shuttle bus is 2 hours rather than 3. And also include to the pier so that customer could go to super market or transportation to other island

Bad bad and crazy stupid
The beach is a horror show of problems. Broken glass plastic bottles and junk washed up and piled up meters high.Its like a dumping pit. The hotel clean the beach directly in front of the Hotel but you only need to walk 3 meters and either side and its nasty. Food was sos so. I didn't get breakfast and they wouldn't even serve me a coffee at the coffee bar by the pool. It was 9:00am and they claimed they don't sell coffee until 11am. Crazy? I had to carry my bags to the reception on check out. A buss load of Chinese were over running the hotel. I stayed 2 nights and was eaten alive with mosquitos. Room is old with bad layout. Furniture is like cheap Ikea laminate that is falling apart.

A very pleasant stay
The hotel is situated in on a nice quiet beach. All staff are very friendly and tentative. Only dining is a little of a problem if it rains hard. There're not many restaurants around the hotel and they're all open-air ones. Only one hotel restaurant opens at night.

Nothing spectacular except the view. Required to leave 1000 baht deposit at check in. Told the shuttle into town and back was free but was charged 100 baht. Buffet was ok but just average. Bathroom had mold . Limited channels on TV.

Nice small resort relaxing but some design faults
Room was great esp the patio. Choose the deluxe ocean view room if you don't want to walk back and forth on stairs. Resort has everything even free shuttle to town and free kayak/balls etc to play. Good service not crowded. My only complain is the design faults e.g. There's no full mirrors, no hanging area for bathing suits, shower uses a curtain and water spills everywhere, the mirror on the sink is so far away so you can even do your makeup, the bed frame has corners sticking out so u kick ur toe every time u pass by! Ouch! And the air con is super super loud so be aware if u are a shallow sleeper.

Quiet beach
Overall was good. It was quiet surrounding and not busy beach. Breakfast choices were not bad, they have everything like other hotels offer, nothing special, but BBQ on Saturday was not worth the price. Selection of BBQ was poor and was not excited.

A HIDDEN GEM!!!!
The Centara is a small, exclusive beach front hotel with its own private area on Lae Mae Phim beach. The hotel itself is built on a hill with incredible views of the sea. We had a corner unit on the 6th floor which was simply beautiful. The room's decor is all white and nicely laid out.The spa is a must do also. The highlight of our trip, however, was the service provided by the staff. I travel frequently and stay mainly in 4/5 hotels; i must say, the service provided by Khun Kate (manager) and her team was second to none. They were attentive and always delivered 'service with a smile'. There's no doubt that we will visit the Centara again very soon.

Relaxing getaway
We stayed for 1 night in this resort. Overall experience was great, we had a direct view of sunrise which is very nice. Quiet neighborhood, nice pool and beach that they have. Room facility was good but not cleanliness which is only average. Internet was slow and quite hassle to connect.

Great place for a beach vacation
This is a great place to get away from the big city and enjoy the beach. They've added about 30 more rooms to the upper section so it's a little bigger than the 13 rooms stated in the Expedia add. Every room has a fantastic view of the ocean with an open balcony to fully appreciate it. The pool is also saltwater which is much easier on the skin and eyes and yet still very clean. You can order food and drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) from the bar to enjoy by the pool, on the deck in front of the beach or enjoy it right on the sand. The beach is cleaned daily so there's no trash like you might see in some places. The water is calm and clean in the area. The buffet is loaded with plenty of Western and Asian choices - enough quality choices to keep my American family happy. Lunch and dinner choices at the restaurant (Western and Asian) were all delicious and freshly prepared. The fitness center is well equipped with anything you'd need to keep in shape on vacation - treadmills, elliptical cycle, dumbbells, universal machine, etc. The best part of our stay was the staff. I can't say enough good things about their attentiveness and willingness to go above and beyond. For instance, when my mother was getting noticeably tired going up the steps from the pool, one of the managers made sure she got up the rest of the way and said they'd be glad to have a cart take her up and down an access road the next time. Our girls and my parents had a wonderful time. Thank you!

After checking in, we noticed a message in our room, from Centara Q Management informing that the swimming pool area was under maintenance. Also other areas are under development, property still under construction and development. Room balconies are huge but doesn't have furniture, only a small sofa. If you order food or drinks there's any table... We decided to move to another Hotel in the area. Management didn't charge that night, only the food we ordered on the arrival...

I used to stay in this hotel when it was X2. This time when I went, it is new as Centara. My room turned out to be in the tall building but when I made booking, it was not explained clearly. I want to be able to choose poolside as well. The room is clean and looks very pleasant with white tone. However, considering that this hotel has opened for only a few weeks, the white floor already has some stain on it. The ocean view without any blocking was beautiful. Love the balcony and the big see thru glass door. The hotel is narrow on a hill. So it's a bit complicated to get to the beach, either by walking steep stairs or taking hotel shuttle. The hotel provides free shuttle to and from nearby Meh Pim. This was truly awesome as we were able to drink and enjoy our night without worrying about transportation. The price is very cheap considering the beachfront location, hotel design, and free shuttle.

Great staff, location etc...
Fantastic views, access to beach, amazing attentive staff. If you want a relaxing, quite, deserted romantic beach this is for you. A small temple to the west, fishing boats to the east. The Sun rises and sets along the beach, what else can you ask for.

It has somewhat of a private beach, my room was facing the pool and beach, excellent view. Room was spacious, fully equiped with the necessary items, very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend own transport as it is a bit secluded, but upon driving out there is a nice restaurant just 3 minutes away- Jojo restaurant. Breakfast was good, facing the beach.

Really chic hotel with a laidback
Really chic hotel with a laidback vibe. But a bit out of the way and the beach isn't great. Good for those who just want to hang out and relax. I really liked that the pool is a salt water pool, not one of those super chlorinated ones. All in all a great, stylish hotel for chilling out in.
