Basic but comfortable with helpful staff.
I wanted a little local hotel. This is basic but comfortable hotel. Don't expect huge atriums and posh toiletries but if you want a comfortable central hotel, family run, helpful and knowledgeable staff, with large rooms and lots of hot water, great for kids, quiet, near everything then this works.

Very quaint yet close to center of Krakòw. Breakfast is more than just continental. Has some hot items as well. Really good coffee. Parking is now 80 pln not 50 .Parking in general in Krakòw has gone up drastically so it makes a good deal to park there . Also U can park there if not staying in the hotel

The whole place seemed run down with bad upkeep. The floor in my room was dirty. The doors stuck. The shower didn’t work properly. The towels seemed old and not clean. The pillow was cheap, hot and uncomfortable. Breakfast was poor. The coffee machine didn’t work properly. The shower curtain was too short. The curtains in the room were old and not hung properly. The room safe was broken. On the few positive notes: Location is great for Old Town and Castle. Staff were polite and helpful (allowing me to cancel early and refund my money). The Internet worked well and the water was hot. The bedsheets seemed clean and the place has character. It just needs to be fixed up up, cleaned well and managed/ maintained in much better order.

Krakow Little Gem
We had a great stay here. Staff very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and spacious. Serviced daily. Breakfasts were very good and there was a great selection too. Close to transport services and tourist services. Just across the car park is an awesome restaurant with great food and staff. Reasonable prices We would stay here again.

nice hotel, but rooms are closed not by a key, by a password with 5 digits which are very easy to guess... the same for the wifi password which is extremely easy to guess

Old fashioned style hotel
Hotel in old fashioned style. Room large, bathroom beautiful yellow style. Breakfast excellent, to our order, anything we wanted, very friendly staff! One small thing was very old mattress, not comfortable at all! Bed sheets not good quality. I wish they would change, so I could come back.

The staff were excellent. They booked tours for us and even ordered pizza for us when we could not get out because of the virus. They served us breakfast in our room and ordered taxis when we needed to go to the airport. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. 7 minutes walk to the square, safe area and no tram lines keeping you awake. Definitely 10 out of 10

Great Hotel
Great stay at the Maltanski, Friendly staff,clean rooms,and good selection provided for breakfast. Hotel is right in middle of Old town, 5-10 minute walk into the main square, and 5 minutes to the castle, so easy to get around and see the sights.

Well, the greatest part was staff and their attitude towards customer, but location, facility, price and all the rest came as second to the service provided. If I ever come to Krakow again - this will be the place where I will stay at. And I don't often say that, as I demand quality for what I pay. We were heading out at 4AM due to our flight and they provided us with morning coffee, sandwiches and water before we left. Both thumbs up.

Nice big room and good location. Air co ditioning wasn't working so got a half broken fan that didn't do the job. Breakfast was just ok. Funrniture dated and bedding quite old andnuncomfortable bed and pillows

Nice, old-fashioned hotel with a certain charm. Our room was large and pretty but a bit hot. There was a good fan, but the air conditioner did not seem to work effectively.

Fantastic location yet incredibly quiet, coupled with an extremely comfy bed resulted in good quality sleep! Plentiful breakfast with wide variety to choose from. Clean, comfortable, helpful and friendly. Would recommend.

Excellent location, within walking distance of Stare Miasto, Kazimierz and Wawel Castle. The breakfast was excellent as well with fruits, salads, yogurt, cereals, breads, cheeses, sliced meats, juices, toast and eggs as well as coffee, cappucinos, americanos...whatever. Excellent service in all areas, concierge, breakfast room staff and room service staff. Also, Hotel Maltanski has character. Our room was large with a french door window looking onto a ivy laden stone wall behind a small patio with a table and two chairs. The bathroom was large also with a good supply of hot water and toiletries. We very much enjoyed our 5 nights at Hotel Maltanski.

Excellent location right on the edge of the old town, 5 mins from all major sights. Charming old world feel to the hotel. Staff very pleasant and helpful - booking tours etc. Breakfast appeared authentic cuisine but had cornflakes etc for the unadventurous and finished at the civilized time of 10.30! All in all an excellent hotel in a beautiful city.

We had a lovely 3-night stay at Hotel Maltanski. It was clean, airy and comfortable, and the staff were really friendly and accommodating - even agreeing to keep our luggage stored safely past check-out while we spent our last afternoon wandering in the town. The beds were comfortable and the fan that was provided was much appreciated in the middle of June! Complimentary breakfast was a great mix of traditional Polish and British/American staples, all excellent quality.

Great location, easy to walk everywhere
This hotel is on the other side of the main road that surrounds the old town, so getting into the old town or to Wawel castle is within easy walking distance. The old town is easy to navigate and quite pedestrian friendly. Our room was on the ground floor of the hotel away from the street, so it was quiet, even with the door open. We had a tiny patio with a small table and 2 chairs surrounded by ivy walls. The patio door could be opened by turning the handle horizontally, and turning it up allowed the door to lean in, basically opening a large window. This was nice since the room did not have air conditioning, so we left it open during the night to have some fresh air. It was quite hot while we were there, so sleeping was not quite as comfortable as we might have liked, but it was OK. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent, with a wide variety of cold meats, cheeses, vegetable, pickles, juices, fruit and other items. Each day there was a different hot item that was offered and they bring you coffee (white or black) or tea. They have 3 small tables outside that get busy if the weather is nice, but the inside of the breakfast area is air-conditioned is it’s too hot outside. I would imagine that the hotel would be very nice if it was chilly outside since they have nice quilts on the bed and a towel warmer in the bathroom. As it was, we left the heat off for the entire stay. I would definitely come back here in cooler months, but might look elsewhere in hotter months.
