This is a fabulous hotel, with a lot of history (formerly the "Krefelder Hof") in itself and surrounded by history, especially as it concerns the silk industry of the 18th century. Many prominent families, like the Von der Leyens, lived and worked in this area. A nearby excellent historical site is Burg Linn, which we discovered more or less by accident.
The hotel offers a fabulous breakfast and has an outstanding restaurant. Staff are friendly and attentive and used to dealing with international travelers.
My only criticism: When there are special events (Karneval was approaching during our visit), parking spaces for hotel guests, who pay a daily fee, should be reserved. On one night it was impossible to find parking.
