Property is very convenient for night market and also taxi. Good shopping and eating places close by. Property condition is not great as it is shown in photos. One can get a view of KL tower as well as Twin towers from the room. It is bit noisy in the night due to night activities in the night market. It goes on till midnight.

The area outside the hotel not really user friendly to pedestrians. While it deters illegal parking, it makes it inconvenient to get across the road.

Great value for money, conveniently placed and lovely staff, consistently friendly and helpful. Our room on the 18th floor was spacious and comfortable with a wonderful view of the city especially at night. The bed was so comfortable with big pillows and fresh, smooth bedding. The room was very clean, serviced daily. Late check out for a late flight was no problem Overall we were very pleased with the hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Thank you Capitol Hotel!

Clean room& good front desk but water presure NOt

Despite a smoking floor, but the room i stayed in without any trace of smoke nor cigarette smell. Great job to Somir the housekeeping staff always exceed my expectation on room Cleanliness. I will be keep coming. The ONLY problem i face is the water pressure in 1509, the standing shower is not strong as 1209 as well as the feet washing tap. I coming back soon.

Bit disappointed this time

Felt cheated . Book n paid for king/ queen bed but given super single. I have stayed 1509 many times but this time they changed the bed size to smaller! Not worth for the price paid. Will check in again this coming week , hope the correct bed size is back. Reported to front desk.

Second time staying at this hotel. Decided to stay here again as we were attending a concert at sungei wang and the hotel is just beside it. Hotel is old but works fine. Was given a smoking room as no non smoking was available but thankfully the smell wasnt too strong. We could hear the lift going up and down even thou our room was at the corner. We could hear the street noises as it was a lively street with buskers and food vendors. They stop around 1am daily. Will recommend light sleepers to bring ear plugs. Room was somewhat clean but as the hotel is very old, the carpet is dirty and no room slippers were provided. The toilet was clean and big. Will reccomend this hotel for non fussy people because as mentioned, it is old but still functioning well.

Very disappointed

Mould grown on toilet , a lots of women hair on the bath towel hand towel even bed sheet. To my surprise, housekeeping staff using towels to dry up the toilet bowl n floor without cleaning the floor with chemicals, no vacuuming at all…. Not coming back unless it is necessary, despite i have checked in more than 10 nights for past month. Bed size changed but didn't admit, i have been staying in 1509 many times so dont tell ur front desk staff no bed was changed, making front desk staff looks bad with wrong info! The only things keep me repeating coming back is ur front desk staff!

After reading the reviews we were excited to be staying at the Hotel Capitol in Kuala Lumpur. We booked a premium room for a treat. Well this place is a dump. Check in was slow. Only one staff member was checking people in. Took 30 min and we were second in line. Room on the 18th floor. The View was excellent. The room itself was very dated. The carpet was so dirty that you could see paths where people walked. Behind the door was a thick layer of dirt, lint, just filth. The door to the room had a 1.5" gap under the door. Black mold on the floor moldings. You could feel the springs in the bed. Layer of dust on everything. One plug in for the whole room. It was nothing like presented in the pictures. The toilet wouldn't flush. So we went to the front desk since the in-room phone has no numbers on the buttons. The girl at the front desk tried to explain to us how to flush it. Really? She said she will send someone up to show us how to use it! A guy came up and yup it doesn't flush. He spent half an hour to get it to sort of flush. The whole hotel has a real musty smell. Looks like it was built in the 70's and hasn't been updated at all. Old wood paneling. The building would be condemned in western county. The fire sprinkler heads are mostly busted off. No maintenance at all. The elevator button didn't work for the first day. You had to wait for someone to get off at your floor so you could go back down. Or take the stairs to the next level to push

The hotel location is great for dining and shopping. It is walkable distance to Pavilion, Alor night street, Berjaya Time Square and other malls in Bukit Bintang. Free parking is also a plus for staying in this hotel.
