"I was surprised to find the hotel not as clean and well maintained as expected specially for the price. One elevator car was out of service at one point, there was some maintenance needed for a leak or something in the ceiling which they had to put up construction plastic which was not aesthetically pleasing. The hallways smelled moldy and had an unpleasant odor agin was surprising because of the class of the resort. We had issues with our bathroom sink. But the staff were friendly and helpful, our room clean and spacious. The amenities were also nice."

"The location was perfect - just one block from the beach with stunning views of the park, beach, skyline and sunsets. The property was super clean, and the newly renovated rooms are nicely laid out and have everything needed. The hotel location is just off the strip, so quieter and perhaps a little less busy. The staff was very friendly and worked to make our stay exceptional. Loved the extra water they brought every day and the evening turn-down service. Overall, I would highly recommend this property. "

"Close to airport and highways. Shuttle was convenient. The requested tip of $1-2 per bag is reasonable and you could give even more. Good staff. Appreciated the grab and go breakfast of Apple, granola bar, and bottled water. "

"We stayed in hilton modern from april 1-7 and it was the best relaxing vacation ever. We love everything about the hotel. Our stay had been very meaningful and memorable for us. The hotel looks modern inside the hotel most especially the rooms, the rooms are big and very clean. They clean the rooms, washroom, bed and toilet everyday. The washrooms in the lobby are tremendous. The hotel is quiet, very comfortable and very safe to stay in (only checked in guests have access to the elevator and washrooms). The washrooms in the lobby area are tremendous and very clean. The location is very close to the beach (beachfront hotel), very close to restaurants, fastfoods, ABC store, and close to waikiki if you would like to stroll the whole waikiki, and 10 minutes walk to ala moana mall if you are interested. The swimming pool is very nice for family with kids, their restaurant cooks delicious and variety of foods. The staffs are very nice and wonderful. They also have activities inside the hotel everyday including lei making, yoga, etc. "
