Banyan Tree, Kunming hotels

"Hotel is in the centre of City easy access to most places such as Old St and Kunming Station, very near to a food street & a big "food court" with lots of choices. The Chinese Restaurant at 4th floor is reasonably prices with excellence services and very tasty dishes. Breakfast at 2nd floor is also exceptional with local, tribal, western many choices. The air conditioning in the room is on the warmer side which is a bit uncomfortable, otherwise an exceptional room & great services."

"Absolutely gorgeous hotel although so vast, a mobility challenged person might find it daunting. The room was huge and all amenities top notch. The staff were very polite, although as with most hotels in China, one should have a translation app. The cocktail lounge was lovely, with live entertainment by a lovely couple ftom Ukraine. The all day cafe served a wonderful and vast buffet breakfast and dinner. The Teppanyaki restaurant was excellent. Try one of the multicourse set menus. Welcome and departure gift of tins of tea was a nice touch. Highly recommended."

"It was a pleasant stay and staff was very kind and helpful. We arrived really early in the morning but checking in was smooth. Quite close to the train station and it was easy to catch a morning train. "

"We booked a room with a sofa bed for our teen, and they had it made up for us upon arrival— very nice! Bed was very comfortable, loved that they had windows that could actually open so we could get fresh air. Only reason I didn’t put excellent for more categories is because one day of our multi day stay, they did a less than stellar job on cleaning up and didnt refill our coffee stash. But the other days were excellent."
