As far as the staff and property and room is concerned, I give this place a 10+++. You cannot find better service and staff in all of Japan. However, the only complaint is for Americans. This place is a great stay, has everything you need in the room including cookware, dishes, a good amount of space. They have a lot of recommendations on restaurants and shopping and even have a manual in the room to show you how to use everything in the room.

Riverside Arashiyama
Everything was great. Close to Arashiyama Station and a short walk across the bridge into town. Staff was super-friendly and helpful. Room was clean and quiet. Would stay again!
