This guest house is in a great location, but the unit is a warren of little rooms, inconveniently arranged. To go to the bathroom at night one has to go down steep stairs. The kitchenette has only a microwave. Towels are thin. The manager does come to help (and gives you plenty of hugs), but the best thing about it is the good location (near subway lines and sights).

Apartment-like place walking distance to Gion fest

Location Location Location During Gion Festival you have to expect to pay more. We were greeted with enthusiastic hugs, and information. If you are looking for a good "location" in Kyoto during Gion Festival this is a good choice.
