What a great immersive experience to have a little house for our stay in Kyoto, so close to many temples and other areas of interest. The house was cozy and warm in the cold weeks of winter and the large bath and zen garden were a nice touch.

Staying at Kiraku is a truly memorable experience. This is our favourite location in Kyoto and is surrounded by beauty. The house is impressive and immaculate. A truly special stay.

Fantastic ryokan, we had a slight issue doing virtual check in but staff was immediate and provided prompt assistance. The ryokan was beautiful, the was amazing. Breakfast was delivered in the morning and was nice. Would stay again.

What a fantastic property. Everything you could want. Located very close to Gion district. The owners were very helpful. The view from the upstairs sitting room were lovely and the deep tub was very welcome after a day exploring Kyoto.

Good place to stay, though a little overpriced. Need a light outside the door as it was dark during winter and hard to find location if arriving after 5pm during winter. Apart from this, super and nice ambience at the property. Timely response to email replies.

The property itself is absolutely beautiful. The small garden that you could see from the tatami room was gorgeous and everything within the home was clean and lovely, great quality. The area around the property was calm when we went. It has a lovely feel and there are some nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. Besides that, the ones managing the property were very helpful and kind. There were a few matters where I didn't know how to do something and messaged them and got a reply in a very reasonable time. Very good customer service.

Loved it!

Amazing stay! We loved everything about Nazuna Kyoto. The location was just a few minutes from the subway, in a quiet part of Higashiyama. Super clean, quiet, modern, yet traditional Ryokan style two story townhouse with tatami mats and a beautiful garden. Roomy and charming! Fabulous bathroom and tub! Luxurious toiletries, the softest pajamas, and the beds were so comfortable. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it was well equipped and clean. We specially loved the quirky and charming vintage record player with vinyls for our enjoyment. With a cup of matcha prepared for us upon arrival, we felt so welcomed. Would definitely stay again if ever in Kyoto.

Great stay!

Great "hotel". It is a full building separate from the main hotel elsewhere in the city. As such, there is no reception area. Having to call to be let in the first time was the only drawback form an otherwise amazing stay. Having a private house, complete with a soaking bath tub is great. There was little to no foot traffic and as such no noises at night. HIGHLY recommend getting breakfast included. It's vegetarian, but delicious! Housekeeping shows up every other day, depending on length of your stay. Can call the main reception area to ask them to help book reservations for restaurants.

일본 료깐의 전통 체험

일본의 전통 가옥과 전통문화를 체험하고 싶은 분들에게 적극 추천합니다. 아침 조식은 근처 음식점에서 배달 형태이고 일본 정식 일본 백반입니다. 일본의 관습상 전날 밤에 만들어서 냉장고에 넣어두었다가 아침에 배달부가 꺼내서 미소 된장국만 뎁혀 가지고 온 형태입니다. 찬음식을 먹고 추워서 혼이 났습니다. 그래서 두 번째 숙박에는 조식을 주문하지 않았습니다. 첫 번째 숙박에는 청결 했는데 두 번째 숙박에는 준비가 덜 되었는지 긴 머리카락이 굴러 다니고 청결도가 그다지 좋지 않 았습니다. 그리고 욕조에서는 물을 받으면 바닦에서 부옇게 석회가루? 돌가루?가 올라와 둥둥 떠 있었습니다.
