Truly the home away from home
Thorough house tour from Mako and abundant local intel. Would love to stay there again! I was travelling with two seniors and they all love the place.

Amazing experience. Strongly recommend.
Kirakuan is a spotless, comfortable home. It is a Machiya with brand new Scandivania style interior design, a perfect combination of east and west, old and New.
It is just like home with everything you can think of. The appliances are much better than 5 star hotels, but the price is very reasonable.
My family of 3 adults stayed there for 3 days. Tomomi is so kind as to help us book a nice restaurant, a favor very few hotels would do, and hand-draw a map to help us find the place. She also offered milk, yogurt, fruit juice and snacks for breakfast. Tomomi gave us great advice on restaurants and temples to visit. Taking The morning class in a nearby temple is a great experience, even though I cannot understand any Japanese.
Thank you very much, Tomomi and Mako for offering such an amazing apartment. We will definitely recommend it to friends and hope we can stay there again soon enough.

Excellent accommodation!!
Staying in this lovely house was really a fantastic experience - the owner Saki is friendly and helpful and has really thought of everything to make the stay more comfortable. Returning to the place each day was like returning to my own place (and how I wish it was my place! The house and interiors were beautiful). The location was ideal too - only 2 minutes walk from Gojo subway station and in a quiet neighborhood. I would not hesitate to recommend Kirakuan to other people!! And no doubt I will be back to stay very soon. =)
