There are very few options on the island. We have stayed twice and both hotels were typical euro hotels. However, they are very rustic due to the fact that they are built into the mountain, Lots of character. Parking is off site but there is a free shuttle. Make sure you get detailed instructions to get to the pay lot. You will need a code and park at the Le Relais hotel. Check in is also there and quick, Shuttle will pick you up just outside.

The property is small, but that’s exactly what I expected when staying in a historic building converted into a hotel. Keep in mind that there is no elevator, so you’ll need to use the stairs. Before arrival, they will email you a passcode to enter the property. Check-in is at the hotel near the main entrance, close to the parking area. From there, you’ll be directed to another reception on Mont-Saint-Michel, where they will provide instructions and the keys to your room. Breakfast was great, and the place is absolutely beautiful at night! Staying here gives you a wonderful opportunity to experience the magic of Mont-Saint-Michel, especially after the day-trippers leave. ✨

For parking we need to call in to get the code. The room is a bit old but it has its charm and spending the night walking during the night in Mont Saint Michel alone is a must do. Breakfast in the morning was great

Priceless to take an early morning stroll before crowd hits. It’s crowded in small alley so plan ahead and recommend to bring the least amount of luggage. I saw 2 parties sitting in front of the locked door and helped them where to find the check in, it would be nice to put some instruction at the door or somewhere. It’s beautiful hotel, a little pricey but considering location, it’s worth. Would love to return.

We were in the top floor room for a night and it was SO COOL. 12/10 recommend staying on the Island if you can swing it. Yes, the morning provision drop was loud but the peaceful night time stroll and comraderie of staff as they left the island was special. Such a surreal experience.

The room itself is average and fine. Obviously this is a historic site and the room size reflects this. Our shower’s footprint was about the same size as a phone booth, which made for tricky showering! The location is the reason for our choice and it didn’t disappoint. Mont Saint Michel in the evening and night w/o the crowds is stunning.

Staying on the island was wonderful although travelers need to realize that there are no elevators. Getting our luggage up 5 flights of stairs was challenging but well worth it. You simply cannot beat the location. The room was very nice and the free breakfast was amazing.

We took public transport from Paris. Appreciated the quietness after the day trippers left the Mont. Enjoy touring the Abbey later in the day. Nice little restaurants all around. Always nice to nip back to our hotel room for a bathroom stop. The room is small, clean and quiet. Perfect for a one night stay. Nice breakfast included.

You’re paying for the setting which is incredible and worth everything else. We were in the Joan of Arc annex which is not in the Mouton Blanc building and doesn’t have any of that character on the inside. In fact, besides the very unfortunate carpeting choice, the interior of the hotel room could be anywhere. The beds were very small and bedding was minimal. Not that comfortable. However, the room had an amazing sea breeze with bay view out one window and picturesque cemetery view out the other. Definitely the right move to come to Mont Saint Michele for a late dinner and enjoy exploring the island at sunset when there are fewer people and maximum spooky vibes for our teens. The church bells wake you at 8am. We saw the Abbey in the morning and then hit the road when the crowds descended.

Parking code didn't arrive. Telephone call fixed that. Lots of round about way of getting to parking and check in. Hotel for checking in is not where room was. Easy once we found it. The grounds of the village were deserted when we got there. So much fun exploring without the crowds. A must for any history buff! Staff was awesome. Room was ok. Bed comfy.

The room was clean and had a great view. The front desk staff we're very friendly and accommodating, they let us store our bags while we walked around the village after checking out. Just be advised that you need to get an accrss code from them for a parking lot on the main land and take a shuttle to the island.

Amazing Stay and Experience

Staying the night on Mont Saint-Michel was nothing short of magical and I highly recommend it. The Mouton Blanc was wonderful and its included breakfast was delicious and fueled us the next morning so we could climb up to the abbey : )
