Have stayed here many times and this recent stay was a bit disappointing. Requested 3 rooms close together, or at least same block and level. Did not receive this request although, as always, explained this was subject to availability. When the plumbing/draining had issues in 2 rooms randomly issued when, we noticed empty room next to ours and asked our party be moved as per our first request. Was told by front desk staff this room was reserved by other guests checking in later the same day (?) when we have been told every time that requests cannot be guaranteed and are subject to. After pointing out this inconsistency, we managed to get our party changed to our original request. As a long term Expedia Gold member, I was not offered any upgrade and I am fully aware the next upgraded room was barely occupied. Tap in bathroom was faulty and spotlight above toilet exploded (not exaggerating). Cleaning staff were good but sometimes would only knock once, barely wait for a reply and come charging in. Pool, Garden and Hitana staff were brilliant as always. Overall didn’t feel being and Expedia Gold member held any value. Will seriously consider staying here again.
