"Pensione Sorriso is a true gem. The all-women staff are incredible: patient, helpful, multi-lingual, always assisting guests, and they carry out everything with such grace. It is a clean, comfortable, welcoming small hotel, with a lovely breakfast. Many come to Cinque Terre, rent a tiny room, and endure crowds; this pensione has a patio and private rooftop terrace where you can relax with a beer in peace, enjoy the incredible views, and smile. "Lovely hotel perched up high on a hill overlooking Monterosso- in fact, one can see all 5 towns of Cinque Terre from the hotel grounds. Clean, comfortable, good-sized room; if available, book a room with a balcony for a fantastic view. Shuttle van to & from hotel into Monterosso was very much appreciated as walking up or down the hill would be difficult. Breakfast was excellent with many choices to suit all tastes (8-10 am).
