"Website said breakfast was included, but was NOT included if you booked on Expedia or 3rd party site. Hotel said breakfast was only included if you booked directly on their website. Very misleading! Also, hotel entrance closest to parking lot was not accessible with room key. There was no sign stating any hours of operation or one indicating there was a problem with the door. This was VERY inconvenient as it required walking around entire property to gain entry at main entrance. After entering the hotel to ask about this, there was no one available at the front desk to report issue to. Rooms were clean, but our room was missing soap, shampoo, etc. Notified front desk, but never received items. After reading other reviews, we were disappointed as we expected a better experience. Only positive, rooms were clean."

"I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the property looked unsafe, poorly maintained, and more like a drug or prostitution motel than a legitimate hotel. The office was closed, and guests had to check in through a tiny exterior window with no safe indoor lobby area. It did not feel family friendly as advertised. I was initially given the wrong room, although the front desk clerk was kind and helpful in correcting it. Unfortunately, the replacement room was awful. It was dirty, smelled bad, and had crumbs everywhere. The air conditioning did not work at all and would not even turn on despite it being over 90 degrees outside. The smoke detector also went off repeatedly, especially whenever the shower was turned on. The next morning, I spoke with a maintenance worker outside who temporarily stopped the alarm, but he explained he was only an outside contractor and would notify hotel maintenance. No one ever came. The room phone was unusable — missing buttons and not connected to any cord — so I had no reliable way to contact the front desk while my cell phone battery was dying after a full day of travel. The towels were tiny, and there were essentially no amenities provided. I requested a full refund, but I keep being told the manager is unavailable or will “call back.” I booked through Expedia, and even they have received the same response from the hotel with no follow-up. Do not stay at this hotel."

10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful hotel decor, exceptionally clean and well maintained. We had an accessible king room on the 5th floor. It was very large and had very good accessible features. Nice selection at breakfast and appetizers in the evening. The employees were exceptionally professional and friendly. Cars are parked behind electronic gates.We will be staying at this hotel from now on while visiting Charlotte."

"For the price, and what you get, the hotel wasn’t terrible. The public areas were clean and the staff was helpful and nice. The rooms do have kitchenettes in them, but we stayed only overnight, so did not use any of it. The room was adequately clean- could things have been a bit nicer- sure.. but I didn’t feel scared to touch or sit down. The bathroom did have a lot of water damage near the shower and possibly mold, but it looks like the hotel is actively making repairs so I can only hope that this will be something included. Overall, there is literally 0 bells and whistles with this hotel, but you cannot beat the price and location. One of our better stays in Winston Salem, and we have stayed at least 5 other times over the past couple years."
