Grandover Resort & Spa, a Wyndham Grand Hotel

Grandover Resort & Spa, a Wyndham Grand Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Fortunately, the Grandover is a little more than an hour drive, so perfect for a short luxury getaway. My wife and I just returned from a 2 night stay and had an excellent experience. The grounds were beautiful, everything was clean and fresh, the room and bedding and view was wonderful. We dined at the Filial Restaurant Sunday evening and. Monday morning, finding both the food and service excellent. Everyone we spoke to was professional, friendly and helpful. We felt appreciated and welcomed by everyone. The pool was beautiful and tranquil and the bar was just as nice. If I was a golfer, I would have been in golf heavenโ€ฆbeautiful corse. Anyway, for a couple looking for an escape to relax and enjoy the few hours alone and be spoiled, this is a wonderful destination! Well done, Grandover! We will be back soon. As far as costโ€ฆdefinitely on the upper side yet worthy and deserving. No regrets at all!"

SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Asheboro

SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Asheboro

8/10 Good
"My daughter and I stayed out here for the second year in a row while we attended the MTTS festival. The staff is amazing! This has been consistent for both heads. Theyโ€™re friendly and helpful at check-in and good about explaining all the amenities. Last year our room was on the first floor and it was just fine. This year we had a room on the second floor, and while it was not terrible, the fixtures could definitely use some updating. The faucet to our shower was almost coming off, as an example. And I really donโ€™t like being negative, I just think this hotel is in a great location to both Asheboro downtown and accessible to places like Walmart for example. So Iโ€™m hoping to inspire the manager to make a few tiny updates to some of their rooms. Another nit picky note: on the local restaurant list we found on the top of the dresser, thereโ€™s mentions of major chains such as Subway, for example. But we found no lists of local restaurants downtown such as Magnolia 23, one of Asheboroโ€™s best; Flying Pig, The Table. A few thatโ€™s definitely worth mentioning."
