This property is in lovely setting. Very close To many of the areas attractions, yet private and a little off the beaten path. The only negative was the stairs to our room and the hill to property.

Charming old world hotel

The Holstein is a charming old hotel set in a beautiful magical garden with several picturesque walkways and hide aways. Thet serve a delicious breakfast with fresh hot baked goods. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hidden gem

Very appealing historic dwelling. Great service and lovely rooms. The climb from thr hotrl to the main stret is steep and not for everyone.

The property is beautiful! Our suite was cozy & had everything we needed. The location is excellent with easy parking inside the gated property. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. We highly recommend in every way. Super convenient location as well ❤️

Great location close to the old town. The property is unique that it was an aristocrat retreat converted to hotel. The hotel is gated and only accessible with code. The problem we ran into was the hotel wasn’t well integrated with Expedia’s message system. The checkin instruction with entry code never got to us from Expedia message feature or email. We had to call the hotel at the gate to gain entry as the door well doesn’t work.

Nuno was excellent helping us find our way into the parking lot due to an accident at one of the gates. It was raining and he came out to show us in and got extremely wet. He is certainly an asset to the company, nothing was too much trouble for him, He also helped us with a parking ticket we picked up in town. He is certainly a wonderful person and I hope Casa Holstein recognizes that.

I can’t say enough positive things about our stay…from the amazing breakfast, the helpful staff, the beautiful room and property…..walkable to the main square in Sinatra and a number of attractions. We would stay here again in a heartbeat…a hidden gem for sure.

Lovely charming stay

Such a lovely one night stay here. The property and room was so charming. We arrived on a rainy day and our room had the windows open so our bed felt very slightly moist which was the only downfall. As a vegan I didn’t have too many options for breakfast but I am used to that. Overall I would absolutely recommend coming here! It can be hard to find at night by car. But the staff is so helpful and kind.
