I rented a one-bedroom apt with a very large terrace for about 1 week w/a separate bedroom & a fully equipped kitchen (all dishes, glasses of every variety, knives, tools, coffee machine, juicer, everything you could think of...) & two doors leading to the terrace. Two televisions w/cable & fresh breakfast items brought to my room every day. All of this for about $150/night in a busy neighborhood of Lisbon, a 2-minute walk from the Baixa metro stop & plenty of stores. The staff were very friendly & helpful (I asked for ice& a different flavor of jam, they got it for me, I got sick & needed medication, they texted pharmacies & found it for me) & if anything I was too comfortable (the bed was fantastic; when I needed to rest I was really, really grateful!) & it was difficult to get going & out the door! The apartment is clean, new, & modern but it is done within an old building retaining those charms (old stone, tile, etc.) I was very happy there & recommend it highly. Pedro & Miriam spoke excellent English & I spoke (passable) French with Julien. Finally, when I was leaving their credit card machine would not work; I have not yet paid but they did not seem concerned as they had gotten to know me (and of course had taken my credit card upon arrival). I am now the one concerned that I haven't paid in full! The photos don't do their rooms justice - it's nicer than it looks (I've added some photos, hopefully they are helpful), and if there is anything you need, they will get it!
