What a fantastic Hotel. Quirky and very friendly. The staff could not do enough to make sure our stay for my wife's 50th Birthday could not be any better. From arranging the transfers to sorting a cake and some sparkling wine nothing more could be done. The hotels location was perfect to explore Lisbon and with some excellent restraunts just round the corner ehat more could we ask.

Great position for seeing the sights of Lisbon. Room was of a good size - comfortable bed and a hot powerful shower. Only thing missing was somewhere to hang the towels in the bathroom. Breakfast buffet initially looked like it had a good choice but sadly everything that was supposed to be hot was cold. The waitress acknowledged this and was very apologetic. The sous vide poached eggs didn't work at all. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend for a few nights in Lisbon.

Quiet hotel with a good breakfast selection and quality especially the coffee and cocktails. Easy enough to walk to a lot of the main areas of interest, and a small selection of good dining around you.

We booked the Bar Room and absolutely loved it. The theme room was awesome and a,nice size for a European hotel. The staff were wonderful and very accomodating. Note, washroom is visible from the main room so hopefully you're traveling with someone your very comfortable with😊

Excellent Stay & Great Service
The Maxime Hotel was a great stay. The service was excellent. The rooms are small and the smart TV doesn’t work in the room. However the location is perfect and centrally located. The breakfast was good with lots of delicious options. I would highly recommend to stay here. They don’t provide wash cloths, only hand towels and dry towels.

Very well maintained hotel in a very nice area of Lisbon, centrally located with hood access to public transport, high end shopping and dining. Rooms are very nicely appointed in a cabaret style.

They should not be rating this hotel a 4 stars due to the fact that the room has no closet, no door to bathroom, no refrigerator, no TV, no coffee stand it seats on the floor next to the bed. Everything is so dark not welcoming feeling.

The property was conveniently located, great breakfast, very clean. We needed to reduce our stay from four nights to three and they refused, even with four days notice. They could have rebooked the room on a Saturday night but they refused. Very unfair.

Nice property in the heart of the Historic District. Great walking areas with many high end shops nearby (if that's your thing), but also many reasonable places to eat. I would definitely return.

Absolutely no room to store clothing or toiletries, so we were living out of a suitcase which had to be closed and stored upright every day. No concierge service which is definitely needed. Front desk was not helpful.

Friendly staff, clean hotel, in a great location that is close to a lot (metro, shopping, downtown, tourist attractions, restaurants in Barrio Alto/Principe Real, etc.) while not being directly in the busy noisy downtown area. Great find and value! I would recommend to a friend who wants to be close to everything for daytime & nighttime activities but far enough away for some peaceful rest.

The Maxime hotel was in a very convenient area of Lisbon, close to everything but not in a noisy, congested area. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The courtyard/garden area was lovely for relaxing in the afternoon before going out for dinner. The room lacked a closet, bureau or shelves so it was hard to settle in and feel at home since we had to live out of our suitcases. The bathroom was very small and didn’t have much space for our toiletries. The breakfast started at 8 which was late for us and on the 2 mornings we left early got a bagged breakfast but would have preferred coffee and the breakfast buffet. All considered the Maxime was a nice hotel with helpful staff.

Occasion: This is where we stayed for a week's perfect romantic anniversary getaway. It's a perfect spot for couples in the heart of Lisbon. The hotel: Esthetics are superb from the get go. The hotel has an unassuming impression by day, but by sunset it give a subtle vibe of a place you want to be at. A unique sexy atmosphere with a sharp appearance and efficient professional service. Amenities: The breakfast variety is very good and will likely answer all your palate's needs. The rooms are trés schiqe and the infotainment system on the TV sets the tone for a sexy stay in the perfect manner. I used the laundry service which came back quickly and as expected. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful a wonderful team. Accessibility: The location is perfect as being in the center of town and allowed for all our local Uber rides anywhere in town to be no more than 4 euros. Access to the main square is a 6-7 min relaxed walk through an avenue of high class stores. The square is a meeting point for most of the guided tours in Lisbon and surrounding sites (Sintra, Pena castle, Porto, Nazare, etc.). Overall for an unprepared surprise tour of Lisbon this was our perfect home base for the duration of our stay. We highly recommend the Maxime hotel and wish all the best to its staff and crew.

Great hotel
The location of the hotel is very convenient, just of the Avenida and tourist areas very walkable with a couple of good restaurant options nearby for late arrivals, and a little artisan market in the square at weekends. The staff were brilliant…super helpful and knowledgeable, the room was very clean and genuinely didn’t hear any noise at all from other guests. Breakfast was excellent, varied choices and good quality. Literally cannot fault this hotel, I would definitely recommend and absolutely stay again.

Excellent location and staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Bathrooms were a bit small, but the charm of the building, location, and staff were amazing. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved the Maxime hotel but in our opinion it was the front reception staff who made this such an enjoyable stay. They always greeted you with a warm smile, provided exceptional customer care service, helped out with directions and made quality recommendations during our stay. A big shout out to both Tania and Leandro that came to our rescue when we were subjected to an uber scam. They went above and beyond to help us resolve the problem and get our money back and helped us make alternative arrangements to the airport. Central location close to shops and restaurants and free breakfast was also a nice touch. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel!
