"The Marine Hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were fantastic. The pool was clean but needed some maintenance. The hotel also needed some maintenance and a complete update. The entertainment was good but very loud for nearby bedrooms."

"Lovely hotel. Staff, particularly on reception and at breakfast couldn't have been more approachable and helpful even organising a very practical take away breakfast on our final day as we were leaving before the breakfast sittings started. Spa was lovely. Location of the hotel on the water is very nice, however, there's not much in the vicinity in terms of shops or other restaurants. Only negative was on one morning when we couldnt get a breakfast slot until 10.00 a.m., a cleaner was determined to get in to service the room at 9.20 when we weren't out of bed. He reluctantly offered us a bit of time to get organised!"

"The hotel is beginning to show its age as you would expect but it was well maintained and the bedroom and bathroom was spotlessly clean. There was also plenty of milk for brews in the room. We didn't eat or drink in the bar so cannot comment on that."

"A very quirky hotel with plenty of character. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast presented a good choice and the eving menu had a number of choices. Room was a little dated but to be expected in a castle. Peacocks everywhere!! Village centre is very quiet with a number of units closed. Work was taking place on the central mm aren't square so a little unkempt and inaccessible."

"Stayed 1 night with my husband and 6 year old daughter. Lovely clean hotel Poilte staff Nothing is too much for them. I asked for an iron and hairdryer, within minutes it was at my door!!! Nice touch with tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuits. Very close to all local amenities Shame they were fully booked or I would have stayed another night."
