"We returned here having stayed a couple of years ago. The location is stunning in the wilderness but very convenient for Betws y Coed. The suites are very comfortable, spacious and clean. Mike and Carrie are very kind, generous hosts who like to make you feel at home. "

"This is a lovely place to stay. We were well looked after, my gluten free dietary needs were catered for and the staff were very accommodating. The house is old so we expected that the rooms might be ‘quirky’ but we had a dangerous fault with our shower that could have resulted in serious scalding incident. We have informed the managers so they can deal with it. Dinner was 5* as you’d expect in a place with a chef of this calibre - wine and port also excellent. Pricey, but not excessive....

"We travelled with our adult son to hike in the nearby Eryri National Park. The owner greeted us upon arrival and very thoughtfully upgraded our rooms! Lola, the dog, was so friendly and extremely well behaved. The place is beautifully and freshly decorated. The two bedrooms we saw were unique, comfortable and well equipped. The evening after our hike we had a beer in the bar which was newly opened. Breakfast is a lovely - a continental buffet and choice of hot entrees including a half...

"Things we liked were the decorative wood panels everywhere. Some very intricate and interesting pieces. Rooms are all different, so check the pictures. Then check with the hotel that you have the right room, as they're named not numbered. This is because Expedia have the wrong names matched to the rooms, as we found out on arrival! "
