"Really lovely place to stay. The only disappointment was that the sawyers Bar and grill was not open on the Saturday night. I have stayed here before and had fantastic food. If I had known they don't open weekends I would have come in the week. We ended up eating in a local pub and had a disgusting meal. Next time I would book the grill before the hotel."

The Manor House At Celtic Manor

"My second stay at Celtic Manor (Manor House). We booked a second time (after about two years) because the cooked breakfast was the best I remember having. Unfortunately, the manor house breakfasts are now served in the main hotel and are buffet breakfast instead of cooked to order. While it is still ok, it is nothing compared to what it used to be. I found the room to be a bit tired, with frayed carpet, busted hinge on a cupboard door etc, but very clean. It is easy to get lost in the hotel, but it is kinda fun to explore - even if it feels like a big empty hotel in North Korea at times. Staff are mostly very helpful, but there were a few instances where I felt a member of staff couldn't be bothered - but not a big enough deal to go into any detail. Swimming pool is very nice, and the amenities are great. Hotel does get very busy, but it's worth a stay. Oh, £13.50 for overnight parking is quite steep - particularly as it's pay on exit, so if you nip out for any reason you have to pay afresh when you get back rather than parking on the existing ticket, so if you nip out a few times in a day it could get expensive."
