"The ambiance of the property was fabulous. It is an old building and was charming. The main bed was comfortable BUT the futon's were actually chairs that folded out and they were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. There was no staff available. It was all contactless. The bar was the same no people. If you didn't have cell phone to use the QR code you could not get a drink. The breakfast if you didn't pay for it in advance was not available as expected. I found the place charming but unwelcoming. However...

"Nice hotel. Some parts look recently upgraded and decorated. Room was spacious but dated and old fashioned. Looked a little tired although the bathroom looked brand new and modern so looks like they may be in the middle of an update. Some of the carpets in the communal areas looked a little worn. Staff were excellent and the food was good too. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was very nice."

"This is a beautiful spot. Breakfast was very good. The room was clean. Only complaint is we couldn’t turn the heater off in our room. The front clerk said would look after and then when we asked again later she said maintenance gone home so eventually it would turn off as was on a timer. It did but we had both windows open until about 9pm. The other two staff we interacted with were lovely."
