It could have been a better stay….
I was notified about a flood issue in the original flat just 30 minutes before check-in and was offered a replacement, which was described as an upgrade. Unfortunately, the new flat also had a number of issues—including flooding.
The windows were built into the roof and couldn’t be opened, so there was no proper ventilation. The WiFi was extremely patchy—almost unusable—which made working remotely nearly impossible. One of the sinks was leaking and so small it was barely usable, even for washing hands or brushing teeth. No idea why the sink of this size is necessary at all. The shower also leaked and wasn’t designed for tall people—I had to hold the shower head in one hand while trying to wash with the other.
We also had to wait a few hours after arrival because the flat wasn’t ready and still needed cleaning. Communication was poor throughout—we dealt with different people every time, and nothing was properly followed up.
Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. Despite being told the flat was an “upgrade,” it came with many of the same issues, including flooding. A nice surprise was the super clean kitchen utensils like glass and cutlery. That was my favourite part of this property.
