"The Comfort Inn in Fortuna was well maintained, clean and had a couple of amenities we didn’t use. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was more spacious than most chain hotels with which I’m familiar. The price was reasonable for a Sunday and Monday stay. I inquire about Tuesday night rates - they had gone up y about $70. On demand pricing in a “remote” location is disappointing. This does not enter into my rating…just saying. Finally, the included breakfast was good but the coffee was terrible. The “bold” blend was like a few grounds in hot water. Again, not an issue with the ratin"
"Pros: This is a beautiful place. Our room (#1) was lovely and spacious. Spectacular views. Comfy bed. Great big kitchen. Ocean front. Easy access to tide pools. Walking to two really good restaurants. Nice community hot tub.
Cons: Communication was spotty. Received messages multiple times requesting my info (they use contactless check in), but didn’t receive final email with check in code and Rm number. Msgd them with no response. Called them and they were very helpful. Had to do the same thing for WiFi code (weak WiFi). Came upon an elderly couple who arrived with no idea how to check in and no cell service. We were able to talk them through it and give them the WiFi code that worked outside at a certain spot. On our last day we received a message welcoming us.
Also, for such a large studio you would expect some storage. There were five hooks and a small hanging bar with no hangers. No place for luggage or a place to put your things.
But as I said earlier, the room was lovely- new remodel. We enjoyed staying here once we figured it all out. Can’t beat the location."
"Our Room was clean and tidy. I liked that we could park in front of the unit. I didn't see the email that explained the registration was 1/2 bock down at the Victorian Inn, but there was a sign in the parking lot that said where to go. This was a nice place to stay and was more affordable than lots of places in Ferndale. I also really liked the continental breakfast at the Victorian Inn, which is included. Great muffins, hard-boiled eggs, juice, excellent coffee! The new trainee at the front desk was a lovely lady. I would stay there again."
