"we only stayed one night but really enjoyed our stay checkin was easy and relaxed, all the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. we had a meal in the bar area at night and breakfast in the morning both really good. our room looked to have just been refurbished and had all we needed if we are in the the area we would stay again. thanks. "Pooley Bridge is a very small village nestled at the top of Ulswater. It has 3 public house & a couple of small shops. The crown Inn is perfectly placed by the river & in the thick of the village. The only downside is parking a busy sunny days! Staff at the Inn were very pleasant & helpful"
