"The room was clean and warm only downside is why was there no bottled water in the room as for the past two years there has always been bottled water "
"A lovely welcoming pub. Friendly landlord and staff. The room is basic but clean and comfortable. Enjoy your stay. Great value for money. Oh, and enjoy the local ales :-)."
"Our princess themed room was spacious and clean. We had no breakfast so cannot comment on this. Staff were very helpful explaining how the boiler and heating worked. "
"Accomodation was larger than it looks in the photos, which was a nice surprise. The beds were comfortable, however I would take earplugs as I struggled to sleep due to the cars going past outside. I had to go and buy some from the town centre. At night the cars whizz past really fast.
The listing states that there is free parking but this isn’t true- you have to pay for it. I have asked Hotels.com to amend this as it’s false advertising. The reason we booked this hotel was for the free parking!!! Luckily we got parked ok in the train station car park but had to pay £15 per car. In the afternoon however the car park soon fills up and people drive up and down looking for a space.
We’d stay here again due the location and the charm of the building. "
